I've been coming to this store for years and years. Today I stopped by to have two keys cut. I was providing my own keys, as they had custom logos on them and had to be ordered elsewhere. I have previously brought custom keys to this place to be cut and they did, with no issues. Today I was greeted by a polite young man as soon as I walked into the store. I told him what I wanted done and he was glad to help me out. As he was setting up the first key, an older woman showed up and abruptly told him to stop and to go handle the register. After fidgeting with the first key that he had inserted, she loudly said that clearly she needs to teach him again how to cut keys. Very rude and unprofessional, particularly with a customer right there. She continued to fidget with the key (apparently it is she who needs the additional training), then barked "where are the tags to the keys?!" I explained that I was providing the keys that needed cutting, to which she replied that they don't cut keys that weren't purchased there. I told her that they've done it before for me. She seemed rather flustered and bothered, and rudely told me they were too busy. During all of this, another employee showed up and seemed interested in trying to figure out what was going on, and probably wanted to help. But she made it clear that my keys were not getting cut. I took them back and proceeded out the store. The young man who had first tried to help me saw me and asked what was wrong and I told him she didn't want to cut the keys. He apologized to me (the woman never did). First, the young man should be recognized for doing his job by trying to help a customer. Thank you, sir. Second, the older woman has no business being in retail and should find work elsewhere. Third, I'm never coming back to this...
Read moreI usually go to my local Ace. I had a gift card for Rockys, and happened to be near a Rocky's and figured I'd give it a shot. I went in and asked if they had routers. Routers, being the tool for woodworking that spin bits really fast and cut wood. The guy told me no, and that I should check radioshack. I called 6 other Rocky's locations and they were no better. I finally went back to the store. The reason I gave it 2 instead of 1 stars is because the guys at the store were pretty nice. The problem is that the guy, when I explained to him what I wanted still didn't understand what a router was. All in all not terribly impressed. Their selection is weak, their prices seem high. I don't like going to Home Depot or Lowes, but if it means not going to Rocky's I'd...
Read moreI called to see if the store would price match. I was told they would over the phone. I then asked to confirm the item was in stock. They initially said no but when I looked online it said that it was in stock. I called again and told them that it was in stock and they found it. I asked to hold the item and they said they would hold it for one day and match the price I found. While driving to the store a manager called me and said they can't match the price I found but I could speak to a higher level manager at 11:00 am. The manager showed up to his shift late, and told me they don't match online websites. They wasted my...
