Save A Lot — Local services in Conneaut

Whether it be privately owned or corporated, it felt more like a mom and pop grocery store. Although there are items that are sometimes not available which is not the end of the world. The service on the other hand was as good as it gets. They're so quick to check you out. You never wait in line all but a minute or two. When there's one line open for check out if more people show up they immediately open up another line or two. The manager or owner or whoever he is is an amazing guy and very nice. They're always busy the shelves are always stocked perfectly. With that being said they are never too busy to help you. I'm not a big fan of Save-A-Lot but it's close by where I live and with the service being as good as it was I just might become a fantasy-lot. They make you feel like as if they known you your whole life growing up going to your local five and dime. Kudos to the Conneaut...

I got groceries from Conneaut save a lot 6/22. I usually don’t, I always go to Walmart. I spent $267 and some change. Which is much more than I spend at Walmart. Not only was it much more expensive and much less convenient because you have to pick through crappy boxes to put your groceries in to take them home. I also ended up with 2 pounds of burger that was expired the next day 6/23. And I mean expired not able to cook and eat. Brown and sour smelling. Then 6/24 a package of ribs was also brown and sour smelling. That’s 3 packages of meat from save a lot that I lost money on. And that’s not the end of it. My milk was expired nearly 2 WEEKS before it’s labeled expiration of 7/09. This is disgusting. Groceries are not cheap. And I lost so much money going here it makes me sick....

Everytime I got to this store I see brown hamburger that's almost spoiled. I bought a pack of 24 count cheese that went bad cause the individual wrappers were partially open in the package. The milk goes bad before the expiration date on the carton. Bought tater tots that fell apart when trying to deep fry them. Ended up with something that looked like a tater tot pattie. Bought bacon that spelled sour. This store needs to be inspected by the health department and there food...
