I go to Kroger at least once a week sometimes twice. I do my personal grocery shopping there as well as purchase sodas, snacks for our office store.
Every week I collect the money, roll the change usually one to two rolls of quarters and I pay for the purchase of those items with that money. I have been doing this for over a year without incident.
Today, After spending $90.79 for my personal groceries we proceeded to my next purchase for the office store items. When I start to pay with the money I gather from our office store the cashier informs me he can't accept my rolled quarters as there could be one quarter on the top and one on the bottom and no money in between. Basically saying I look dishonest. I told him I do this every week, I don't understand the problem, he says he can't take them. So, I proceeded to bust the roll open and count them out and he tells me he can't take over $5.00 in quarters in a purchase. I said you have to be kidding me. This is legal tender and I am sure if Kroger does not want my money I could shop at Walmart. He calls the manager who says we will take it "this time" REALLY?
I do this every week without incident, what happened? and where is the sign stating how much change you are allowed to pay with? Rolled, unrolled? The female manager there, the brunette that always looks like she has a mouth full of something seriously distasteful was on duty today. She always looks unhappy and is not very helpful every time I have been in the store. (Figure since I am going to write a review I will include that as I never would have written one without the incident today) At any rate, I am extremely upset at the simple fact of basically being called dishonest when attempting to pay with a roll of quarters which I have done for well over a year at that location.
And just to note...I was only paying with one roll of quarters and $40.00 one dollar bills and 2 nickels as there was .10, so I wasn't paying with a bag of change...
Customer lost here and I urge others to pay in change just to see what response you get. I give ZERO stars but had to give it one in...
Read moreI didn't even know this Kroger was here. It's a hidden gem for anybody living in white county. It's a little bit of a drive from the north end but hey, I'll drive. I miss Kroger after moving into NNE Georgia. Ingles and Publix aren't worth my gas money in comparison imho. So finding this one, yaaay! Kroger imho always have the best fresh fruit, best fresh veggies, best meat selection around. But please to the CORPORATE OFFICE people, put your gluten free selection aside. Mixing in the gluten free stuff with everything else has been a discussion of the gluten-free community in recent times. You know it's a problem when there's a Facebook page dedicated to how much people don't like this change in grocery stores. Yeah, that's actually a thing. Not like Facebook is as relevant as it used to be... but still... the point is there. I get it, corporate wants you in the store longer...so that you will spend more... but dang it, as a celiac, I know what I want!!! And if gluten free foods(all special dietary needs dry and frozen) are in a dedicated area, it actually makes it easier to find new stuff that maybe I'll spend my money on. I know I'm not the only one who feels like it's a put off to those with dietary NEEDS! So an anology for this would be like it's like if wheelchair bound people had certain foods requirements, but the grocery store put these foods the furthest back in the store, on top of the shelves... just so anybody handicapped or wheelchair bound would have to spend more time in the store looking for help. Or it's like the store doesn't charge the electric carts, so that people would get stuck, so they'd have to spend more.... That's a bad analogy, but that's kinda what it feels like to literally hundreds/thousands of people in the Atlanta area. I know this because I am involved in the gluten-free/celiac community around Atlanta and North Georgia. And I'm certain corporate has had this complaint, hundreds of times over the last five dang years!!! Please, PLEASE...
Read moreThis is a used to be place to shop up until me and my husband went to the store on October 23rd, 2022 at 5:42 p.m. We had to return some dog food that was bought a couple days before because it hurt our dogs stomach but we had to wait at customer service for more than 20 minutes for the lady Diann to come back and when she finally did we explained why we needed to return the dog food for and she flat out said that we had to return it for the same thing and we said why would we return for the dog food the same dog food that hurt our dogs stomach and as we are discussing this the manager Dale comes over asking what is going on so we explained again and then Dale started to argue with me and my husband. They specifically said that we could only do a refund with a gift card no cash back even though we paid with cash and had a receipt. My husband asked the manager Dale where their return policy was and he didn't even know. Return policy stated that with a receipt you will get a full refund with how you paid and without a receipt you will get a refund in a store gift card which we received a gift card of a refund because they said we couldn't get cash back even though we had the receipt and even getting my id for no reason. I will never go to this store again its not even worth 1 star. When you have better workers and management that care about the customers instead of themselves then we might shop their again. Attached is the policy just in case someone that works their forgot it from Kroger. And their needs to be a sign put up on how to have better customer service towards their customers because their is none...
