We live very close and eat here often. We always tip 20% or more. I never post negative reviews but I will 100% not be back. The last few times we ate here we had pretty bad service (and still tip 20% or more). We went there last night and sat at the bar hoping to get better service. We were the only people in the bar area. The girl behind the bar flirted with one of the waiters the entire time, at one point they both went in the back for at least 30 minutes (both came back out at the same time). I had to ask for menus, I had to flag someone down to take our order, I had to ask for water and refills. Our food came out separate and we had no utensils to eat it with. I had to flag someone down the give us forks. I had to flag someone down to get us sauce. At no point did anyone check on us or ask if we needed anything. To top it off; an older couple came in and sat next to us at the bar (now only four customers in the bar area total) and both the girl and the guy ran up to the bar immediately and started talking to them and gave them immediate service. Standing almost directly in front of us, talking to them, and did not look at us or ask if we needed anything (this was probably about 10 minutes of conversation they had). In my 32 years, I haven’t experienced such poor service. I honestly felt like there were underlying issues they had with us; whether it’s race or how we look... I don’t know. It’s very disappointing to go to an establishment to spend your hard earned money and be treated so poorly. It ruined my evening and we wasted 60.00. I was so upset I didn’t even eat my food or finish my beer; and she didn’t offer a to-go box. She just snatched our plates up after I asked for the check. I will never ever be back or support...
Read moreSo the food? Actually pretty good. We got take out and we really want to like this place because it’s so close to where we live. I asked if the Baja fish tacos were tilapia (because I also saw tilapia on the menu ) and the server said no … it’s just fried fish. … she clearly didn’t know what tilapia was . I said I know it’s fried fish but do you know what kind of fish it is? She said she didn’t know. So I just oedered guacamole to go. I was scared to order any fish or shrimp because they don’t know what seafood is or where it comes from. My husband also ordered a Cabernet and they didn’t know what that was. He also didn’t want to risk anything so he ordered a bottled beer and I ordered a mjoito (made sure they had mint leaves and they did but they gave me the smallest amount of Mint leaves ever) then we are sitting at the bar. A server takes margarita they were sent back from a table and dumps them back into the margarita machine ! From the cups that were sent back. 😳😭 I was pretty much in shock. Again. The food was okay- not terrible so the chefs are doing okay but someone needs to talk to the servers/ bartenders. They didn’t know what talapia was, didn’t know what Cabernet was didn’t know how to make a mojito. I mean I know we are from south Florida- near Miami. But … come on. A little wild...
Read moreWe became a fan of this place after it reopened and went there several times in pretty quick succession because it was so good. However, the last two times we have been there, the quality of the experience has deteriorated. On the first of the last two visits, our food was barely warm when it arrived at our table. At both of the last two visits, the place seemed woefully understaffed. Walking in and immediately seeing lots of un-bussed tables was a definite turnoff - it literally screams that they are very shortstaffed. Our last visit was last night, a Monday, and we had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated, all the while looking at all the un-bussed tables while we are waiting. Our server was very polite and the food was ok - not stellar like the first few times we went there after reopening. Our dinners were delivered hot, but the tortillas that were to accompany the two carne asada plates that had been ordered were not delivered to the table until 10-15 minutes after the rest of the food had arrived. The very worst thing was the flies that were buzzing all around our meal while we were trying to eat it. Gross. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Doubtful we...
