Publix Super Market at Riverbrook Village — Local services in Gainesville

Gorgeous new Publix on the north side of the county. SO needed! Cheerful staff, wide aisles, super clean and well-lit, not crowded at all.l with ample parking. Wide selection of everything from produce and fancy cheeses, to prepackaged items and frozen foods. Gotta love the weekly BOGO deals!

I'm a huge fan of Pub subs and love being able to order my subs in advance on the app and just pop in and pick them up quick from the deli at the front of the store. They have really good soups at the deli also!

After several visits, I just have one complaint about the store and it's that the bakery is as far away from the front door as it could possibly be. It's tucked away in the far, back left corner of the building. Why isn't it out front at this location?

Honestly, it'll probably save me some calories, not seeing all the amazing baked treats as soon as I walk in, but it is kind of inconvenient to have it way off in the back and I miss the welcoming aroma of fresh baked bread greeting you when you walk...

I have ordered twice from this deli now and both times have been less than subpar. Both times have taken a long time (30 minutes at least) and look like the subs are thrown together. It does not seem the staff is trained properly. The first time the staff were arguing with each other and one staff member dropped my sub on the ground at the very end before handing it to me (in the bag), but I took it because I didn’t want to have to wait another 40 minutes for another one. The second time, this evening, the staff were struggling again. They did not seem to know where things were and did not warn customers about being out of items that they stated they would not have even ordered their sub if they would have been told that before hand. I have only heard and experienced very poor services at this location, which is sad because every other Publix Deli station I have been to has been...

Don’t bother with order ahead from this deli. I’ve given multiple opportunities for them to get it right and not once has my order been at the pick up station at the promised time ( or within 30 minutes of it) nor has it been correct. I tried riding a whole sub for pick up on my lunch break ( ordered at 10:45 for 12:00 pick up) it was there but only as a half sandwich, so I had to wait in the long line just to get the other half my pre ordered sandwich made. Never , no matter what time I order it, has my deli meat been ready. I’ve had to stand in line and wait for it to be sliced. Do better Publix. Employees should be Friendly...
