Kohl's — Local services in Cookeville

Kohls is a very friendly, very clean, & always has mega items in stock. I've been a customer ever since they opened here. I'd never heard of Kohls before but something drew me to go. I learned that they had charge accounts that helped you save money when you used it, when you wanted to buy something. Well, I didn't have the best credit score, but they gave me a $300 limit. That was awesome for me, cause I am on a fixed income & have not been married in 35 years, & don't intend to be again! My Son even loves the store. He likes the men's clothing, shoes, & Colognes. You can find about anything you need there. When we go, there's a couple guys that always stop and chats with us. One nite we were there, just a few weeks ago, when a tornado warning came up & it was getting pretty rough. The girl on duty came & told us & said she would like for us to go to the back with the rest, or we could go. We didn't think it was that bad, so we chose to go. The guy up front told us also we could stay, but he saw we wanted to go, but he sincerely asked us to be real careful. They were very sweet about it. I've never had a bad experience with anyone there, & it's been way over 4 years. If you want good friendly, & nice people to serve you or a small conversation, my Khols is the place to go. I've told several of the people there that Khols is my store. Today we went, had a great time talking to the cashier that I hadn't seen before, but we talked like we had known each other forever. Today, a friend and I went to the Kohls store in Cookeville,TN. After I completed my shopping and had checked out, I sat in one of the chairs near the exit to wait for my friend to finish her shopping. The cashier closest to where I was seated wore a name tag that identified her as “Debbie.”During the thirty minutes or so that I sat there, I observed and listened as Debbie checked out a steady line of customers. It was the most professional, efficient, kind and pleasant customer service I have ever witnessed. When an elderly lady had to hunt through everything in her handbag in an unsuccessful (and painfully SLOW) effort to locate her Kohl's card, Debbie very kindly told the lady, “it’s ok and advised her of another way they could charge the transaction to the customers Kohl’s card and walked the customer through the procedure with the patience of Job! Each and every customer that came through Debbie’s line was greeted in a kind, courteous and friendly manner. When an elderly gentleman pushing an elderly female in a wheel chair finished their check out transaction, Debbie said to them, “Let me get the door for you”. I was so impressed with this employee and as I sat there watching her perform her job, I thought to myself, “I wonder if Kohl’s knows what a valuable employee they have in this lady” ? I have been a Kohls customer for many years. I moved to Tennessee from Illinois and was so happy to have a Kohls in Cookeville. I moved to Crossville TN three years ago and began shopping at Kohls in Cookeville. I found the same excellent selection, prices & specials, clean and orderly store as I was used to in Illinois.

I moved to TN because my sister and her hubby moved to Spring City TN - I am very close with them - and especially close to my sister. Unfortunately, two years after moved to TN, my sister was diagnosed with Alzheimer's - she had struggled with the disease and refuses to leave the house - even to shop for clothes. She has gained weight due to inactivity and can no longer fit into her clothes. Because she refuses to shop, I have taken over the task buying her larger clothes. Frequently I'll pick out clothes for her, take them to her and either she doesn't like them or they don't fit.

That's where my appreciation of Kohls personnel coupled with the simple mechanism to return clothing items comes in. The Kohls employee that I see when returning clothing is excellent. She is compassionate and always helpful when items need to be returned. Thank you so much for helping my family during this difficult time.
