Not all Thrift Stores are created Equal!
This Thrift Store is all HEART! Last summer I called and spoke to John (the owner). I had a collection of Nascar items to sell. They were my late husbands prized collection! John said he most likely wouldn't be interested but to bring the stuff in and he would give it a look and if he wasn't interested he would help lead me to some other places in the area. I came in and he loved the collection and we struck a deal! Both John and his wife Janet are kind, loving, down to earth people.
Since that first time I have donated quite a bit of really nice stuff as well as sold some more stuff to them.
Speaking as a Widow, it was their kindness and help during a very difficult time in my life that I was able to find a place for a lot of mine and my husband's belongings. Just knowing it all went to them makes me feel better. Trust me there is a lot of nice stuff there. I should know :)
They have been very kind and I see some of the negative reviews and it hurts my heart.
Remember, "One man's junk is another man's treasure".
It's hard to keep a thrift store up and I think it looks great in there. I have seen some really, really bad thrift stores and their place is not even close to being cluttered. I think you all need to get out more.
Thank you John and Janet for your kindness during the most difficult time of my life, I pray for your store and for more people to find your wonderful thrift store, or should I say that they find "That other Thrift Store".
God...

It was my first time visiting That Other Thrift Store. I came here with an open mind hoping to find a few outfits and (maybe) some fine china to add to my collection. The woman at the cash register was very kind. She greeted me with a warm welcome and told me about the sale they were having that day.
However, the immediate feeling of overwhelm started the second I entered the establishment. There are rows upon rows and tables upon tables full of junk. There was a lot of random stuff piled up with other junk. Most of the aisles, which are very slim, were blocked with stuff to the point where you canāt push a cart through it. It was truly an eye sore to be in this thrift store.
It was almost impossible to look through the very few racks of clothing they have, as everything is stacked on each other. Most of the items were very overpriced. They had a few antique items, but the bad outweighed the good. It seems as if this place is more a hoarders dream instead of a thrift store. Everything was filthy, dusty, and smelled horrible. I recommend a renovation of sorts or at the bare minimum, organization and cleanliness. I gave this establishment one star because the staff was kind.
I spent about an hour here, and left...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing store. You never know what you will find there; whether it be furniture, knick-knacks, antiques, clothing, or that little treasure you never knew you were missing. Every week, there is a color-tag sale that gives you 50% off the specified color of the day or 75% off on Tuesdays (Wednesday is always senior day, with 25% the entire store for those 55 or older). Even if you recognize some of the same items from one visit to the next, the color-tag sales make it so fun to go back to week after week. The couple that runs the store always greet you with a smile and have been very helpful with every purchase. The community is truly a better place with them there and I will be happy to continue giving them my patronage for years to come.
Ignore the 1 star reviews from the disgruntled people who have not even shopped there themselves!
Sad to see that such an amazing couple have fallen victim to unwarranted and blatant cyber harassment.
I wish the owners nothing but the best and I hope that Google can help intervene regarding the harassment...
