On May 11th 2015 I went into David Jewelers to have them switch out a Bezel on my watch. I was told all day that the watch repair man was going to switch out the bezel that day, no one called me so I called at 4:30 to ask if the watch was done they said no. I said can i trust that the watch will be done by morning they said yes, probably just pick it up by 1pm. I left the watch with them overnight, in the morning about 10:30 I asked if the watch repairman had even seen or touched the watch the store owner said no that it was with him in the store so i said I'm going to just pick it up then. He hangs up on me so i rushed to the jewelry store to pick up the watch. When i got there i said i'm here to pick up the watch, the store owner advances toward me bearing his teeth like an animal saying get out or I'm going to call 911. I said why are you calling 911 I'm here to pick up my watch you said you had it on the phone. He starts screaming i did not tell you i had the watch you are a liar get out i'm calling 911. I said just give me my watch right now. He continues to scream get out you are a trouble maker. So i walked outside to call the police i saw a cop in the parking lot waved him over to me. I told him the story to which he went in the store and told me to pick it up at 1 that the watch was not in the store but they will call me if it comes sooner. I drive away and get a call not 5 minutes later the store owner says come pick up the watch. I went back and the same cop was still in the parking lot asking what i was doing back there i told him they called to say i can come get the watch. He said i never saw anyone go in or out of the store since you drove away. So folks they held my watch hostage for the money they by the way over charged me by 3 times. Lied to me and an officer of the law and verbally assaulted me and treated me like garbage in front of other customers. My advice drive right by use a different place for your...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of David’s Jewelers for over 30 years, designing and purchasing new jewelry pieces and bringing in countless repairs, watch band purchases and batteries, and even referring friends and family. I’ve always been patient, friendly, kind, and appreciative as a customer.
Unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I brought in a gold-plated necklace for a simple clasp repair. After being told it would take one week, I never received a call. When I followed up and confirmed a pickup time, I arrived only to be met with rude service, no communication while I waited, and then David himself screaming at me in front of others. He said my repair “wasn’t worth his time,” compared it to his higher-priced jewelry sales that are worth his time, and acted as though he was doing me a favor. After nearly two weeks with my necklace, this treatment was shocking and upsetting.
This wasn’t the first issue. On a previous visit, David’s daughter made unkind and body-shaming remarks directly to me about my sister, who was with me in the store designing a necklace that I was purchasing for her. When I addressed it with David, he dismissed it rather than handling it professionally.
It’s been a few months since both of these incidents occurred and I thought with time David would reach out to apologize. But he never did. David never apologized for his behavior, communication and the way he treated me or the way his daughter treated me and shamed my sister. And to further share, the other women who work there aren’t nice or friendly. In fact all the women who work there are very rude to customers.
After decades of loyalty, I can no longer recommend David’s Jewelers. Customers deserve respect, honesty, and courtesy—qualities I sadly no longer...
Read moreI took my 3 week old watch to fix a fallen pin but somehow they change the battery and damaged my beautiful 50 meter underwater watch, it is no longer even a water resistant watch. We gave him multiple tried for 2 weeks to fix it but his excuse was Swarovski just writes that but its not true and refused to further work with us to correct his error. I strongly suggest you never trust him with your Jewelry needs. He is nice however when it comes to HAVING INTEGRITY he is not to be trusted. He owes me 350 dollars or a new watch to replace the one my husband gave me for our anniversary because he broke it.
updates: 11/4/19, took my watch to the Swarovski dealer and payed 80 dollars to attempt a repair. I cant believe the grief from a mistake of a jeweler that only treats customers well when all its good, but does not own up and do the right thing when his staff makes a mistake with a piece of jewelry that has an emotional attachment to his customer. worst than that we were...
