Got a pc that was shipped over from a friend, pc could turn on but when I went to connect it to my moniter there was no hdmi input detected. Figured some stuff jostled out of place and took it here for them to fix it and 1. Make sure everything was in its place inside its casing properly 2. Was able to be hooked up to a monitor with input detected and 3. Was able to run and be used while connected to the monitor. I paid $80 for a diagnostic exam and came back a few days later to pick it up. Not only were all the cables moved around and plugged into different places but it only ran for not even an hour before crashing. Everytime I logged into my monitor while it was hooked up to the pc the desktop screen crashed and flickered on and off repeatedly and my mouse couldn't click on anything on it even in-between flickers. The weird thing is is that I'm able to access task manager on top of the flickering desktop screen but nothing can fix the screen. When I tried factory resetting the pc it stops midway around 33% and completely shuts down no matter how many times I try to reboot it, when I turn it back on nothing's changed and it was just like before with the flickering desktop screen. When I called them to explain this issue to them they said that this was an entirely separate issue. Not only did they say that they FIXED the issue that I came in with they had the audacity to say they'll give me a reduced price of $50 for another diagnostic exam if I brought it back to them. Not only did they they effectively try to scam me this way they also took a photo of my pc without my permission and posted it on their page, I'm putting a screenshot of this photo here. Please do not listen to the "good" Google reviews for this place and really read through all the bad ones before deciding on taking your electronics to these people, you'd be better off either learning how to fix it yourself or even just taking it to the geek squad at best buy for your electronic problems.
Edit: I never expected to not pay for your services, your business isn't a charity. I went there fully expecting to pay for your services, what I did not expect was for it to still not be able to function afterward. Regardless if you've "served your community faithfully" since you took over, I paid for a service that didn't deliver and was told that it being non functional was a separate issue when I took it there for it to be made functional. Also you never addressed the picture of my pc that you took without asking for permission and posted...
Read moreI called this location and spoke to a very nice associate about having my phone unlocked. They explained the process and cost after gathering the information they needed from me. I visited their location a few days later. The associate i met this day was also was helpful. He made sure to check my phone FIRST to make sure the unlock would be possible, and sure enough he said it was. I paid for the service and was informed I would be called within 48 hours. 48 hours later I received a call that my unlock could not be processed because my phone was still under contract. They said if I paid $30 for premium service, they could guarantee me 99% that it would unlock. WHAT? This seemed very shady to me so I immediately called AT&T and confirmed it was not under contract and it was 100% paid for and could be unlocked. I also found out that if your phone is paid for and out of contract, AT&T will unlock it for FREE!
Either way, I wanted to give Dr. Phone Fix an opportunity to make it right. I noticed on my receipt (which i was given after I paid for the service) that they do not guarantee unlocking. Fine, I get that, but this is something I should have been made aware of prior to paying for it. I called their corporate number because I wasn't getting a sufficient explanation from the Cooper City associate and asked why I am being asked to pay for and additional service when I was told prior to paying that my unlock would work. He put me on hold for a very long time, then told me he would have to call the Cooper City Location to figure out what happened. This was two days ago. I have yet to hear back from them.
I am sure they are very good for phone repair, but also know this company pays customers $5 for good reviews, so always take reviews with a grain of salt. I would not recommend this company to unlock your phone. I'm pretty sure their employees know that if the phone is paid for, it can be unlocked for free, and although this takes business away from them, I would be giving a five star review right now if I had encountered a company with integrity to be honest with customers versus trying to make a buck off of customers. I own a retail store and when a customer comes in assuming they will have to pay for a repair, and I find out it is under warranty, I always tell the customer. Not only do I win their trust but I win a customer for life and referrals!
I hope this review gives you the knowledge I gained to know you can unlock a phone for free if it is paid for! I ended up unlocking mine for...
Read moreI brought my iPhone in to this location disabled because the screen was so messed up it had kept entering in the wrong passcode itself and disabling for longer and longer. The phone had also died and turned back on while in this state so my fingerprint wasn't working bc you need to enter the passcode when the device turns back on. When I picked up my phone two hours later my fingerprint unlocked it, and I went about my business. It wasn't until an hour or so after that I realized my passcode I had left with them with just in case wasn't working to unlock the device. I called and asked is there any reason you needed to change my passcode because the one I left with you is no longer working. The man I spoke to told me I must have changed it and forgot. I have never changed the passcode on my phone, and it makes no sense if that were the case, that was the passcode I left them with and they had to have used it at some point, and it had to have worked, In order for me to use my fingerprint to unlock it upon pickup. He told me I would have to factory reset my phone to be able to set up the device over with a new passcode. I am so upset, and I will never come here again. This location is right by my house which is the only reason I have come more than once, BUT DO NOT COME HERE. Not only did they reset my damn passcode and lock me out of my phone this time, but the last time I brought my phone here they fixed the screen without realizing that my battery was inflated and that was what was causing the screen to break. It literally broke again that night, and when I brought it to the Fort Lauderdale location to get that fixed they charged me less to fix the screen and replace the battery then the Cooper City location charged me just for my screen.. do not give these people your money. I spent $145 and I’m just as locked out of my phone as I was...
