We came in (my child had a college tour near by). I was excited to find a vegan spot as there were several options in the area, we are not so fortunate back home to have such luxury in SWFL. Anyway, I came in asking questions about the menu, the man behind the corner proceeded to ask had we been there before, I told him we had not. He then tells us to scan the code (. I must admit I am not a fan of this new technology although some others may love it, I do not). We take a seat and then decide what we would order. We placed our order at 3:45pm, it (on my phone) said it would be 20-40 minutes however then updating to say 4:04pm. Fast forward almost 20-30 minutes later, I ask my child it seems to be taking longer than expected. My child went up (told to wait in line mind you) to inquire about the hold up. Our order was ready and no one said a thing. The place had not been busy, I saw the man behind the counter hand another patron their food so not sure why we had not had the same treatment.
We get our food. I ordered, a side salad and fruit bowl, and a detox smoothie. My child the impossible burger, with a side of fries and Dr. Pepper. Because we was not informed that our food was ready, my child’s burger was cold, the fries wilted and my detox drink separated and warm! Terrible service in my opinion. And since it seemed they didn’t care about our patronage ( just about $50 spent), we will NEVER go back again.
My child also realized that others were ordering from a touch screen on counter (which I would have preferred to order from especially since we dining in)… That should have been a sign that there was either miscommunication (again we didn’t want take out). We are not from the area but to think we wanted take out instead of ALSO informing and giving us another option for touch screen for dine in service sadly tells mee they just didn’t want us there, that’s how I felt after this experience.
And what’s crazy is there is a vegan pizza spot next door I went in to see what they offered while my child stayed next door at Vegan Tierra deciding what she wanted to eat; although the menu looked good, sadly no one was at or behind the counter so I walked out and went back next door for what was to be utter disappointing service etc. Seemed others were satisfied however myself or my child was not.
Again customer service is so...
Read moreI finally made it to Vegan Tierra located off Stirling and Pine Island in Cooper City, Florida, and my only regret is that I am eating here for the first time now. This very inviting counter service restaurant has ample seating and convenient parking, the staff is friendly and also very knowledgeable about the food. For appetizers we ordered the Cauliflower Bites with the sweet chili sauce served with veggies and ranch. The cauliflower was fried to perfection and had that #gbd (golden brown delicious) going on, the sauce was sweet and spicy as promised, and the veggies and ranch complimented it well. The other appetizer was the Mac N Cheeze balls, they also had G.B.D. going on, as they were very crispy on the outside, yet oozing with gooey Mac N Cheeze on the inside. The balls were served tomato sauce and Parmesan cheez garnish. As quickly as the food came it was eaten and the next course arrived right away. For entrees we went with a caprese pizza and a quesadilla made with @impossible_foods brand ground “meat”. We were surprised to find out the cheez used was @daiyafoods cheez, as I had always had issues with it melting, clearly the chef here has a method I don’t know of yet, because the cheez on both was melted perfectly on both. The caprese pizza had ripe fresh tomatoes and basil and the thin crust and as crispy and served as a good vehicle for the cheez and veggies as they made their way to my mouth. The quesadilla was loaded with veggies, cheez and “meat” and served with homemade guacamole and salsa that tasted great. The portions were huge, and we had some food to take home for the next day. This restaurant is definitely my new “go to spot” as it is very close and convenient and there are still so many menu items I can’t wait to try. I am already planning my next trip there, and...
Read moreI had the chance to visit Vegan Tierra in Cooper City, Florida, a vibrant little gem nestled in a local shopping plaza. Known for its international vegan cuisine, the menu features a wide variety of options including vegan burgers, pastas, salads, wraps, quesadillas, green juices, soups, smoothies, and more. They also cater to dietary needs with gluten-free and soy-free options, all prepared in an Allergen Safe Zone.
The atmosphere is fun and colorful, and the customer service was warm and welcoming. While the selection is impressive, I did notice that the pricing is on the higher side with appetizers priced similarly to entrees. The juices and smoothies were reasonably priced.
Now, let’s get into the food details below:
APPETIZER Thai Potstickers - Spinach and Basil pastry, diced vegetables, bean vermicelli, Sesame Seeds. Ponzu sauce.
FoodieChews: Has potential but it needs way more filling. The dipping sauce was good.
ENTREE Orange Cauliflower - Oriental style fried cauliflower served with jasmine rice, snow peas and carrots
FoodieChews: Loved the crunchy sliced snow peas and carrots. The cauliflower was lightly fried and with a semi sweet sauce. If they added sesame oil and a little soy/salt (sweet savory),would be perfection.
The Cuban Wrap - Black beans, rice, picadillo (impossible beef) avocado, plantains, wheat wrap. Served with yuca fries
FoodieChews: Basically, a deconstructed "Cuban" dinner wrapped up. It was good with familiar flavors. Yuca fries are always a nice treat.
