Changed my rating from 1 star to 5. Being from London, Ontario, Canada, I came here 4 years ago as I'm an avid comic collector and come to Fort Lauderdale to vacation and check out comics. In my previous visit, I walked in, briefly looked around, then asked the guy behind the counter if I could check out the Silver age Hulk's in the display case. He stared at me for a few seconds then without saying a word, took out one Hulk comic, held it in his hand, then slowly turned it around so I could see the $50 price tag on the backer as if it was too expensive for me. I repeated, I wanted to see the 10 or so Hulk comics in the display and he again ignored me and put the first one back while then taking another one out to simply repeat what he did the first time. Never allowing me to hold and look at the comic. He never said a word the entire time and was acting very aggressive and disrespectful. I've never gone into a comic store wanting to fight someone within the first 2 minutes of being there. I murmured Go f yourself and left. Worst experience I've ever had in a comic store. Seeing that management has changed, I went in again when visiting 4 years later. Chris, the big burly guy at the front counter blurted out "hey buddy!" and asked if he could help me with anything. He invited me to come to his work area to look at the wall comics closer when he saw me looking at them while joking about how the worst thing that could happen is he would have me work for him if I stayed too long. Instantly I felt comfortable. I checked out the back issues and was happy to see the comics were decently priced while in excellent condition. Stayed there for about an hour (had to be somewhere else) and ended up buying $650 worth of comics including a Demon 1 and 199 Amazing Spider-Man. Now that I'm home and repackaging the comics, I see the comics are in high grade. I highly recommend going to Past, Present and Future Comics. It's amazing how the attitude of the employee's can so drastically change your impression of a place. Nice meeting you Chris and you and the owners keep up the great...

You know they’re scummy when they won’t give you prices over the phone, gotta come in to get prices. Garbage Store (edit after owner responded a year later... Yes, I used to own a similar store in the area but sold it due to the birth of my daughter I wasn't able to run 2 businesses anymore. Also yes, I did attempt to play in a tournament today at this store. Event Manager was kind enough to hand out promos even though it did not fire but gave us the cheapest ones in the kit. Kinda scummy if they get enough promos to host 16 events and only host 2 and keep the rest of the promos which you no doubt sell online. I spoke with another employee who complained to me about your allocation with Bandai, well maybe it's news to you but it's tied to your player count from tournaments, so if you don't have players you don't get product. I wanted to give you guys another shot and even promoted it online so others would come play but scheduling events the same time as other stores isn't very smart... I purchased 5 booster packs because I felt I should purchase something seeing how you guys actual did give me something for free (cheap promos). That's all, just common courtesy, I did not purchase it with any sort of malice intent. Your prices are terrible and you're the last shop I would ever consider going to only because other stores are sold out. Read other reviewers, everyone says the same thing. I'm sorry to hear I'm not longer welcome but seeing how your events aren't firing and your prices are terrible maybe it's for...
Read moreComics are way overpriced, but way off of actual comic prices by today standards. Pretty much all comics are double and triple the price of what they go normally on ebay, price charting, etc. Some 2-5$ comics are 10-12$. Never ebver going back there. Store is much similar to Tates Comics and charge and arm and leg for collectibles. Stay away from.
In response to owner reply:
The first rude people are your employees, that sit on their phones all day and don’t care to help anyone and when you ask them they get grumpy, plus I collect comics in near mint condition , not 1$ comics that you can get for 10 cents. by the way I always treat people of how they treat me so if they are lazy and dont wanna help I go to somewhere else that appreciates it. Don’t get it twisted and assume that I was rude to the lazy associates you hire. You don’t know me and impressions are everything. You guys are the lazy ones and is a shame the comic resellers overprices and attitudes like the guy response is like this, putting a stain on the...
