Very disappointed considering how much it cost for a membership as it stands now it's practically impossible to contact the wellness center sometimes the gym closes early for Jewish holidays and all it says on their website is (hours might be different for the holidays) so not wanting to waste time driving there only to be locked out of the gym I tried calling ahead sadly all my attempts were futile and with no automated voice messaging system to specify weather their closed or not their is no way of knowing weather the facilities are open, employees also don't abide by a professional code of conduct when i was in the gym the man in charge of music and gym tidiness kept putting on inappropriate music like spice Girls he would also post up and lean on the equipment I had to approach him twice to ask if I can use the bench cause he was leaning on it then he posted up on the barbell rack so I had to ask again and both times he gave me an annoyed look making me feel uncomfortable just for asking he would also hover over u just to make sure u putt everything back in other gyms employees don't hover and if u forget to put something back they will politely ask and follow up with a thank u but at the jcc they will yell at u and give u a scornful look if u forget and they definitely aren't polite after putting everything back infact it felt like the employees in the gym treat members like their a nuisance oh and on weekends they close at 5 and the male employee that kept playing spice Girls wanted to leave early so instead of letting me finish working out till 5 he yelled at me to leave when I was jogging upstairs at around 4:42 he was extremely patronizing condescending and unprofessional and practically shoved me out of the gym all while saying "I don't play that" as if speaking to a delinquent child I never felt so patronized and under appreciated for my membership infact everywhere else employees cater to the members but at the jcc I suppose they expect the reverse members need to cater to employees smh 😬🤔 [P.S] so now instead of playing spice Girls and backstreet boys they now play gangster thug life harcore rap music lol 😆 guys if you're using pandora just type in (gym music mix) and u will get a ton of songs more appropriate for an...
Read moreWant an amazing gym? Go somewhere else. Imagine a giant gym, full of crazy useless equipment. Want to do squats? Good luck, there's probably somebody curling in the squat rack. No adjustable safety bars, fixed railings instead. Smith machine? The bar spins in place on both machines (by design), so good luck getting a good grip, and the notches on the railings are terrible. Machines? Yea, they have the usual preacher curl, but no standing calf machine, instead they have two thigh abductor machines. Been there an entire year and they have yet to get a half-seat, or military chair for shoulder press. 2 million treadmills, and only 3 flat benches in the weight area. Are you a normal adult with a regular 9-5 job? Oh, you are? Then you'll never make it to the gym on Fridays because they close at 6pm, so kiss 4 days out of every month for your overpriced 1yr membership goodbye. Music? Terrible music. And they use the excuse that they can't change it because it's playing from an iPod in a locked office, and only managers have the key. Three managers- Reese- Rude and MIA half the time. Isaac- Awesome. Some other blonde woman- good luck finding her, EVER. Old people? Everywhere. Absolutely everywhere and they're in the way and they don't do anything. Temperature? Ice cold. Work up a sweat and feel the ice cold breeze that wafts through the gym, but they can't make it warmer because "the old people don't like to sweat". Yup, that's right, they won't make it warmer in the gymnasium, the place people come to exert physical effort in order to work up a sweat and stay healthy because old people don't like to sweat. They sit on machines and recumbent bikes for 45 minutes at a time peddling at the speed of smell. Over $40 a month for this nonsense. Never again would I sign up for this gym or any...
Read moreToday I went to drop off my daughter to volleyball practice and I pulled into security and promptly handed the guard my ID. I have been dropping my daughter off for several years so I am familiar with the protocol. The security guard looked at my ID and then tapped on my rear window where my baby was asleep in her car seat. I told him do not tap on my window and my baby is sleeping. I’m not rolling it down. I asked him why he would have the right to make me roll down my window. I have been there dozens of times and this was never a protocol. I told him he would need to go on the other side. I have a sunshade up and my baby is in her carseat asleep. He proceeded to tell me to leave. I asked for a supervisor, he told me he was the supervisor, he told me he was also a police officer and that when the cops come, I was going to be taken away. When I finally called the police myself, he banged violently on my back window. The other security guard attempted to deescalate the situation and asked me to park while I waited for the police to show up. Because there was no damage to my vehicle they couldn’t do anything. No only did he wake up my baby from violent slamming on my window, he harassed me and targeted me. This security guard should be fired for the way he treated me. He is on a power trip and someone at the JCC should immediately look into the company they hire to secure the facility. To make women with baby’s roll down their windows as if were are at some high security checkpoint is unreal. He saw I had a car seat and a sleeping baby through my window and still continued to harass me until I complied with his made up protocols for the day. He’s not protecting anyone at this facility, he’s terrorizing women...
