While we have used Coopersburg Plumbing many times over the past 9 years and have always been satisfied with our service, we will never use these services again after been charged for a free estimate that was never provided.
We were experiencing issues with a second floor walk-in shower, but failed to receive an estimate after three attempts from Coopersburg Construction Corporation. We had opened a hole in our first floor ceiling to gain visibility of the leak and where the water damage was coming from. Each time an employee came, they shifting the responsibility to another arm of the company. The first person who came out was a plumbing employee who stated that the issue was cracked grout on the opposite side of the water damage. He stated that construction would need to look at it to provide an estimate.
The second attempt, from construction, the employee stated that, despite widening the hole in the ceiling and showing where the water was coming from during use and water marks indicating where damage had been occuring, that this was a plumbing issue and plumbing would need to address.
The third attempt, a different plumbing employee, Mark, incorrectly told us that the threshold to the shower was un-tiled and that it was a construction issue. Even if this were the case, water doesn't leak through grout or untreated drywall without an issue with the shower pan or liner! I believe that they saw the amount of work and inconvenience of attempting to a partial demolition and tile work and decided to abandon the project.
At no point did we receive an estimate. At no point did the employees perform ANY work. At no point were these employees in our home from more than 10 minutes. At no point were we advised the appointments were anything but an attempt to draw up an estimate. However, Coopersburg Plumbing Company has charged me. The first invoice was sent 90 days after the lack of estimate. When I called in to the company, I was advised NOT to pay the invoice and that they would look into it. Now, two months later, I received a second invoice, with a late charge! When I called to inquire about this invoice, after I thought this had been resolved this year, the owner, Fred, talked over me, refused to acknowledge the failure of the company to provide an estimate and the frustration of multiple attempts to resolve our leaking shower.
A glaring lack of accountability/pass-the-buck mentality from employees and gross disrespect from ownership is how you turn a decades loyal customer into a...
Read moreTotal shiesters. Asked for all money up front in a certified check. Did the work fixing a leak at the well head ... still have same problem two weeks later. Told us we needed another well pump that could cost $3700. I said to the owner FRED, "Look, we're already into you guys for $4000 and we're running out of money to fix the same probem over and over. He LAUGHED and said " Well, if you don' have any money then you don't have any water ". I told him we have a 2 year old living in the house, isn't there another way for us to pay since we had already forked over a total of $2800 to him for the same problem and it still wasn't fixed - did he not guarantee his services. His response was "I'm not a bank and I have three sons that need to get paid." Keep in mind this company has made a total of $35,000 off my family at this point. We paid $120 just to have one of his guys come out to look at the "new problem". Guess what ... guy says "I think there is another leak further in the line, surprised they didn't catch that when they ran a pressure check. It's NOT the pump". Didn't hear one peep out of Fred who promised a new estimate based on the new information, so we called another company. Those guys were just here, no money up front, fixed another leak CCC didn't catch and found one more in the line they will fix this week. NOT the pump and when we told them how much we paid to fix the well head, they were like "Wow! You overpaid for that service. Oh, and no offense, but CCC should have caught there was more than one leak." So, yeah ONE star for service and ZERO for customer service. Sorry if you are a worker with this company, all the guys who have come out here have been super nice. But Fred is your biggest problem ... no customer service skills and no empathy for anything but his pockets.
Addendum: the final price for replacing the ENTIRE pipe system AND the pump for our well will be ... wait for it ... about $2500 with our new company - Mayer's Well Drilling. Think about that ... we already paid CCC $4000 in repairs for the same problem . we get a whole new everything for just over HALF that. COMPLETE PRICE GOUGING FROM CCC. They should be ashamed, but knowing Fred's attitude -...
Read moreWe hired Coopersburg Construction after suffering major water damage to our home from a busted water pipe. They have been working on our home now for several weeks and we could not be happier! Mark Santee from the office has worked with us since day one and has taken so much extra time to make sure no question went unanswered. He has been very professional and extremely responsive to our claim. Now to the work itself! Pat has been at our house almost everyday now for several weeks. We could not be happier. He is extremely professional and friendly. My wife and three children enjoy having him here each day. My six year old daughter has even made him cookies and brownies on several occasions!! He takes the time to make sure the job is done right and pays extreme attention to detail. He arrives each day as we are scrambling to get the kids off to school and he still makes sure he puts everything down to keep the debris off of the floors, even though the kids are spilling and dropping stuff everywhere! When he leaves, it’s almost like he wasn’t here and everything is all cleaned up. Thanks to Pat, for making our home beautiful again. We highly recommend Coopersburg Construction and we especially thank Pat for treating our house like he would treat his own. We also thank Mark for taking the extra time with us during this time of need. Job well done...
