The Coopersburg Historical Society would like to thank Good Jakes for hosting our annual members meeting. The Society needed a location to serve about 20 people and Good Jakes fit the bill. Angelo Loucareas, owner and chef, provided our group with a buffet of chicken, beef, and all the side dishes to fill the hungriest guests. Hosting our meeting at Good Jakes was the perfect opportunity to discuss present and future business for the historical society and support a local business. Angelo, born in Greece, and proprietor of many restaurants over the years, informed our group that a “Good Jake” is the highest honor a fireman can be given for bravery and performing well under pressure. The restaurant name seems appropriate associated with the Coopersburg Fire Hall.

Read moreWe were referred from my friend to go to this place. We went there last Sunday day before memorial day .It was the worst experience ever not only once, but twice I had hair in my salad… I had two salads. Waiter says it’s not mine ( his hair would of match perfect) or anybody else’s with not a care in the world. Sorry this is gross. We paid over 40 bucks for this disaster and the waiter had the nerve to ask for a tip as my boyfriend paid and he told him no not after you treated my girlfriend and how you did not care about the hairs in the Salad or lasagna. There is no way I’m ever going back to a place that does not care about...

I never heard of this place, but a friend recommended it to me. I’m glad he did because the food was good and the service was great.
GJ is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is similar to one you would see at a diner.
I ordered a cheesesteak and garlic Parmesan wings. The cheesesteak comes with American cheese, sauce, sautéed onions, and mayo. I typically don’t like my cheesesteaks with sauce or mayo, but this was good. The wings were crispy and heavily sauced. I’ve had better garlic Parmesan sauces, but once again, still good.
GJ has Indoor and outdoor seating. Pickup and delivery are...
