Went on an hour tour with my sister and young son. We were greeted by a very friendly man named Captain Hank. It was a beautiful morning and the naturescape was simply wonderful. We saw gators, a bunch of baby gators, a blue heron, a wierd tiny bird that likes walking on the lily pads instead of flying. Captain Hank was able to coax this adorable bird on to the boat and I got to feed it a worm (you feed at your own risk, I knew damn well it could bite me). Our guide was a pleasant, polite, patient, and very knowledgeable man. He had tons of fun facts to tell and show us about the Everglades. Will definetly return for another round!
They even had a cooler full of cold water and ginger ale ready for us.
Note to out of towners: This is true for ALL AIRBOAT RIDES. Seeing wildlife is NEVER guaranteed. It depends on the weather, on water levels, and just a good round of luck. If you go on an airboat ride, try to enjoy it for the naturescape. Because it’s peaceful and beautiful out there. A little scary to be surrounded by nothing but water and grass but it’s a freaking fun ride.
I also recommend using this service because of how amazing they are and since it’s a smaller boat, it’s more enjoyable and more personal.
End of note.
Had a wonderful time with this company and I totally suggest you ask for...
Read moreIf you are looking for an Everglades Tour, look no further. It's doubtful you will find anyone better than Hank and Lori. Lori assisted me with my reservation months in advance, and reconfirmed with me the day before. When our flight was delayed and we thought we might miss our opportunity for our sunset tour, Lori and Hank remained flexible and helped us make it happen. Hank stayed and kept my in-laws company as they all waited for us to arrive. Not only did Hank make the tour personal with his care, but he was a wealth of information. Hank pointed out different birds, and wildlife, talked about the alligators and their habitat. My wife and father-in-law were able to feed a worm to a bird that flew and ate it from their hand. Hank even locked up our luggage for us since we had to come straight from the airport, he dropped us all off at a wonderful place to eat called The Pit (fantastic food and people as well) and Lori and Hank even checked on us to make sure we were able to get an Uber and get back safely. There isn't enough to say the level of care, customer service, kindness, and hospitality that was shown by these two. I ask you, Why would you go to anyone else? They will be our go to from now on...
Read moreThe choice to go with Captain Hank was the right one. Don't hesitate to book with them, you won't be disappointed. Lori helped me book our trip. We chose a private 1-1/2 hour trip. Lori texted me the directions along with a picture of the launch site which absolutely helped find it. Met Hank. Felt like we had known him forever. He is so laid back, down to earth and easy to talk with. We had never rode on an airboat before and his airboat was an amazing machine. It's a great ride. Hank has tremendous knowledge of the everglades and explained a lot. Hank showed us a few alligators, some really cool birds. Which one of them I actually had take a worm out of my hand. The birds seemed to know him. He also showed us some of the invasive fish that should not be in the everglades. If we come back to the area again, I will be taking another ride with Hank. We can't thank him enough for the...
