Highly recommend!!! A great way to see the real landscape and wildlife of the Everglades . We reserved a 10am airboat ride with Captain Chris and Captain Annaliese (sorry if spelled wrong!) was AMAZING! We had our own private tour as it was only me and my husband, didn't pay for a private tour, just got lucky it was just us! We got started earlier than 10am and got on our way. We stopped briefly to talk about the vegetation and were joked, "here is the start of our walking tour" 🤣. My husband asked about one of the trees we saw and if it was a cypress tree that we had seen on other adventures, and though he was not correct, both Chris and Annaliese were impressed he didn't ask if it was a mangrove! Both Chris and Annaliese were very knowledgeable with not only the gators, their nesting and habitat, but also the wide variety of birds and other wildlife within the Everglades. We continued on to where they knew a mama gator was hanging with her babies in their nest...we were super close and when the gator made some movements and obviously freaked us out, they both reassured she wasn't going to do anything and it was most likely because she felt something run on her chin or belly...we continued on and came across another gator hanging out within the trees and got some great pictures. The overall experience was something we had never experienced and I would recommend it over and over again! We were told because of it being during the wet season and the water being raised we might not see any gators, well we were pleasantly surprised to see 2! Thank you both for such an...
Read moreWe booked a noon semi-private tour that ended up being private which was nice. ChatGPT listed this company as a recommended option and it did not disappoint. Chris was our tour guide and was AMAZING!! We felt very fortunate to have had him as a guide—you could tell he really enjoyed doing these tours. He was excited for all the animals that will be coming in August because of the drought (normally high waters wash away nests but because it was low, there were lots of places the animals could build nests—he showed us a turtle nest and even an alligator nest!! The latter he was surprised to see the mama away from the nest (she was on the opposite side of the waterway fighting with another alligator)—when we parked by the nest she immediately came over and hissed when my husband stood up to switch with my son so we could get a good picture of her and my son. It was remarkable. We saw a bunch of alligators from start to finish—we saw one right when leaving the dock and two more (one might’ve been the same lol) when coming back along with a bunch during the tour. Chris showed us grasshoppers (even got to hold one!) and even a turtle!! You can tell he really loves what he does and that is infectious:) He gave us some background info about the habitat as well as showed us a python skin. He even jumped in the water to help a stranded airboat!! All in all an...
Read moreI am a Florida girl through and through and have worked directly with the Everglades ecosystem for the past 6 years now. That being said, Miami Everglades Connection is by far one of the best airboat companies in the game today! I don’t say this lightly, I highly recommend if you’re looking to book an Everglades tour, book it with these guys and you will NOT be disappointed. Captain Albert is an honest, hard working man with an elite team behind him- his family. This family owned and operated local business is one of a kind. Albert’s guides are very knowledgeable about the inner workings of the Everglades system and its wildlife. These tours are the real deal! No feeding gators marshmallows and watching them do tricks for the tourists. Just showing off the Everglades as it’s natural, raw, beautiful, authentic self. It’s the little things that make this company stand out. From stopping the airboat to turn around and pick up litter/balloons in the water, to sticking to only a few paths in order to not disturb the natural area too much with the airboat- Miami Everglades Connection is all about real conservation, the way things should be done. Thank y’all for doing such an amazing job inspiring and connecting people from all over to our...
