Very little staff for such a big store - and they're usually sitting around behind the counter. I went in looking for some specific 40K models a week or so ago and the employee on duty barely walked me to the 40K section and I was basically on my own while he went back to his M:tG game. This left me with the impression that this store is not that concerned with making a sale. If this employee had ACTUALLY helped me, I would have ordered what I wanted from FF instead of leaving to go to the Warhammer store in Bridgeville.
I can't emphasize how disappointed and put off I was by this employee who was more concerned with getting back to HIS game than helping a customer find what they were looking for. If someone is at work, I expect to receive help before an employee plays a game.
I've been to this store before and I will say this: you need an employee on the floor downstairs. It's harder to find stuff downstairs in the used sections anyways and it's a pain to run upstairs to track down an employee who, if they aren't behind the counter, are wearing nothing to mark them as staff.
I'll stop in when absolutely no one else has what I'm looking for, but most of my business will be staying at Legions, even though it's a farther drive for me, because they treat me with respect and show by their actions that they value me being in...
Read moreDom (the store's owner) has created an incredibly inclusive and welcoming tabletop gaming atmosphere for everyone. After poking around a few shops in Western PA, I joined Fabricator's Forge as a total new player, and have been welcomed not only by the staff, but by other shoppers and members alike.
The Forge provides several incredible lines of products including Games Workshop, Mantic, Wizards of the Coast, and countless board games. That's not to mention the used models that are traded in and then offered at a discount. As a member you have 24/7 access to the club, and an extremely generous discount on all items! The gaming space is unlike anything I've ever seen, providing numerous large tables to play any kind of game you want, with healthy selections of terrain and features. In addition, there is a very active Discord in which members and nonmembers alike can freely communicate about all things including scheduling games, trades, and hobby talk.
All in all, the Forge is an awesome place and while I don't know how he does it, Dom continues to up the ante and provide more and more value...
