Cordele Square — Local services in Cordele

This is a town with little to offer a family. Only three sit down restaurants worth dining in. One theater that is behind the times. Employment is very limited, unless you want part time fast food jobs. Approximately 100 dollars pay per week. This town has no public transportation. No mayor and is more or less run by the city council. They double the electric bill during the summer months,may until october. Our cheapest bill in the summer was $385.00. If you live in the city you pay city and county property taxes. There are only 3 things in town for children. Movies dance classes or tiakwando. Stopped in at Ollie's. It's a fun store to stop in periodically because their inventory is different from month to month. As a clearance store sometimes they have great deals. One thing I thought was funny. They had some styrofoam glider airplanes marked $3.99 that were still in the Walmart packaging that was marked $2.99. So obviously not everything is a good deal.
