Please be advised that we had to evacuate during hurricane Matthew. We booked a room for this motel and it is a dump. It was not clean. All rooms reeked of cigarette smoke and animal feces. The bathrooms are terrible and need updating. The mattresses were filthy and had soooo many stains on them along with the pillows. The laundry facility for guests are located outside of the motel rooms. There is evidence of a major rodent and insect problem. The staff are money hungry and do not care about their guests. The housekeeping staff is terrible and talks badly about the owners. The overall appearance of this place shows exactly what is intended for your stay. The refrigerator was unclean the freezer atop was unclean and damaged. we went out and had to purchase cleaning supplies because the ones used by housekeeping were purchased at the Dollar Tree. Please note that there are also concerns for health reasons also: ceiling tile full of water, one lightbulb in the fixtures that operate with 5 bulbs, huge carpet stains, cigarette burns on the furniture and bathroom fixtures. We also found lizards in the room and was told by housekeeping that they come in through the air conditioning vents. Checkin time was 2 pm but we had to wait until 4:30 to get a room after several of them were unacceptable. Housekeeping came to bring towels and change the beds about 7 pm each nite and expressed that they were overworked. There are NO amenities. The free breakfast was slopped together and the appliances they used are NOT clean. Some of the travelers even had up to 4 and 5 dogs and cats in one room !!!!! I have made a complaint with the health department as well regarding the issues we noted during our stay here. Please, if all possible, DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS PLACE, IT SHOULD BE...
Read moreUpon checking in owner asked if we were sure we wanted to stay there because it was Watermelon picking season with many pickers staying there. Seriously, if they cared they would of called us to inform us of this a head of time. It was the 4th long weekend on a Friday and we are going to go where? We had no choice but to stay after driving all day!||First impression, Filthy outside, I mean beer cans and garbage everywhere! After fighting our way to the room, we found no towels, no light in the sink area. The owner said someone from Maintenance would bring a bulb and towels would be coming soon. No one came! We waited for 4 !/2 hours for towels. We even went and asked 3 times. They stated the supervisor had the key to the "good towels" but left for a bit! She came back an hour later but didn't bring towels so we asked a 4th time and got some flimsy towels. ||The ice machine was all rusted, who would use that, the toilet was dirty, had to clean it to use it, curtains off the hooks so hard to close them!!||Cops even came to check on noise! Sleep, what is that? Noise and partying til early hours! Drunk even knocked on our door! ||NEVER STAY HERE IF YOU NEED A ROOM! Go about 30 minutes more and you will find plenty of hotels.||Left here at 5:30 AM and will...
Read moreIt is an older style motel ,but on the inside, their rooms are really clean and freshly painted. It has free WiFi and a big ,flat screen TV. It has a table with 2 chairs,a dresser,a bedside dresser, several lamps and a phone. There is a small fridge with a freezer and a microwave. It is good for an overnight stay on the way to Florida. The bathroom was adequate and clean.and was equipped with an ice bucket and small bars of soap and small ketchup size packs of shampoo . The outside could stand trash cans emptied and cleaning maintenance ,like sweeping and trash pick-up. It seems to be a place that travelling laborers stop at on their way to and from jobs. It was quiet, the clerk was a nice lady and I would come again It is certainly not the Ritz, but for families on a budget, who want a clean room to sleep in and bathe and watch TV on the way to Florida, it's perfectly fine. It is located by several fast food restaurants and it also has a free breakfast, although we didn't try it,since we were wanting to be on the...
