I wish I had better reviews for Gunn Nissan. Personally I think the sales people were great and for the most part the service department service advisers are friendly. But my problem is with the service department itself. It is one of the worst run service departments I have come across. I purchased my Titan at the first of the year and I purchased the service plan. However, every time I visit the dealership for regular or warranty work I have to call Jason, the service manager explaining how work was NOT done. I have even made calls to the home office in San Antonio.
My problem is real simple. I don't trust the mechanics to do the work. I have caught them several times pencil whipping the work and me in turn driving away with the same problem I showed up with to begin with. Today, I was again disappointed to find out the service department was NOT rotating my tires each time I went in for a tire rotation. I think this was the 3rd time it was missed. I know it was not done the last two. ( I paid for this service, but the service guy later admitted that since the thread was OK, then they did not see a need to be rotated.) But he did mark on my sheet it was done. Any decent mechanic would know that the purpose of consistent tire rotation is even wear and tire longevity. So now, I will have to buy new tires sooner because every mechanic that touched my truck for an oil change and tire rotation took it upon their own-selves to NOT do the work, but tell me it was done.
Again, I understand this might have been on the mechanics, but how does management not know about this? Are they so out of touch with what is going on in the shop that they are just "trusting" the mechanics to do the work. Where is the "trust but verify" aspect?
Either way, Gunn has a long, long way, to go to ever get my business again after this truck is ready for a trade. It is going to eat at me know I am driving on tires that should could have gotten more miles had it not been for a mechanics laziness and managements over site. How can I ever trust again that they actually did the work they told me they did????? I don't do business with companies I...
Read moreI recently totaled my car and was on the market for a new vehicle. I feel like buying a car as a woman brings its own set of challenges as dealerships and salesmen typically take advantage of the situation, in turn making it a very unpleasant experience. I decided to give Gunn Nissan a try after having several negative encounters at other dealerships, went in expecting the same but was shocked as to how wonderful this whole process was! I spoke with salesman Benjamin over the phone, he was so kind and helpful in helping me find the right car for me. He helped sort out all of the kinks for me before I went in person. I actually was pretty late to my appointment and ended up working with salesman Sergio. Sergio was absolutely amazing to say the least! I felt at ease discussing prices and limitations without getting pushed into anything I wasn’t comfortable with. He was extremely patient and made sure I knew exactly what everything meant and how it worked! I was hesitant on test driving cars but he was firm on making sure I got into a vehicle I absolutely loved and didn’t mind me being picky with features and colors. When it was time to sign papers I worked with Paul from finance. Paul worked diligently with me, explaining what all of the packages included and never once made me feel like I was being pressured into anything I didn’t want to do. He made several print outs for me to physically see the change in price points with each package, making sure that I knew exactly how much everything would cost in the end. Sales man yordan set up my plates for me and showed me how to work different features on my car that I was originally to shy to ask. Everyone that I worked with was so kind and gentle!! This dealership went above and beyond and I cannot be more thankful!! Amazing staff!! If you’re buying a car alone as a woman or just buying a car in general, I would definitely recommend...
Read moreI had 2 times with bad experience since the company transition from Gunn Nissan to Four Stars Nissan.. first time I brought a car to get the transmission TCM programmed as I’m small owner dealer. They tried to programmed and it never worked, I paid for it. Second time, I brought another car for Transmission programmed, and Technicain Zak authorised transaction that I didn’t approve without calling or text me. When I spoke with after he added that charge. When I confronted him why he did that. He never took ownership of his mistake instead he said I had to do because I never answered my phone when I never received call or text from him or Four Stars company as whole. He finally took that charge off after he argued with me over the phone and never took ownership of his mistake and did COBC of the company. And I was told my car was ready for pick up. When I got there to picked up my car, it wouldn’t shift from park to drive. On that day Zak was off, so the other technician came out to checked and he clearly stated that he test drove it when I dropped off the car, and it didn’t do that. I never got call from Zak till 3 days later. When I spoke with Zak, he told me that need to get shift replacement, and I ask Zak did you test the car when dropped off, the car was fine to shift from park to drive. He stated he never test drove it. So I told him ask your peer that test drove and get back to me. Zak never called me back, so I called a week later I spoke with one of the service guy named Blake. Blake told I need a shift replacement or come pick up your car instead listen to the whole story and take ownership as company of everything that happened. Basically, the company takes your money and no solution at the end. Please stay away from this company of Four Stars unless you want get screwed. The company should be called Zero or Fraud Stars Nissan instead Four star...
