Highly recommend!!! Called on Thursday 2 book 2 ppl on Saturday. Cost was $81 with a discount the phone lady suggested b4 I even asked. We got stuck in traffic behind an accident below Duck. I called 2 let them know we weren't going to make it on time. The lady, who's name I failed 2 get a 2nd time, was very chill & said "don't sweat it, can u come later today? I have an opening." YAY! So understanding & easy to deal with over the phone. We left 5 mins early on r tour bc everyone was present & were out for 2 hours. Definitely take a jacket...even on warm days, it's very windy (driving in an open vehicle). I can't say enuf good things about Kyle, r guide! He started by suggesting we not sit in the back of the truck bc it would b bumpier 4 my kid & then was very entertaining & informative & knew how 2 handle the sand, driving like a pro! We saw approx 15 horses, on the beach, in the dunes & in the residential area, including 2 babies which my kid was so excited about! We also came across the Gypsy Queen on the beach & saw Grave Digger's Getaway! LOL I was skeptical to pay money to possibly c some horses & drive on the beach, but it was so GREAT to sit back & relax while getting some fun info on the area. The tour area is gorgeous and I didn't need to worry about being 1 of those ppl who gets their truck stuck in the sand ;) Thanks for a wonderful...
Read moreCompany is NOT ADA compliant. Sent a Facebook message inquiring about a tour and bringing my son’s service dog. I understand there are some who try to pass off their pets as service dogs or emotional support however my sons dog is a highly task trained service dog certified by the organization who trained her. In the Facebook message they said they allowed service dogs and to give them a call to book. I called and was told unless it could fit in his lap I would have to purchase a ticket. This is a direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The lady I spoke with was very rude and condescending. I used this opportunity to try and help educated on the ADA and her words were “I don’t care”. I have filed a complaint with the ADA and the ADA agreed this company was in violation. If you are in a wheelchair or use any other medical equipment be prepared to pay double! We were able to book with another tour agency who was very accommodating and accepting. The tour guide of the other company didn’t even know there was a dog on board until we were getting off. The company is aware of their violation as I sent the ADA information to their Facebook page. If you have a disability steer clear of this establishment as you will be charged to use your medical equipment for...
Read moreI can't review the actual tour itself too much as our tour got cut short due to one of the passengers getting hurt. The truck gets very bouncy as it moves over the sand and it's definitely recommended that one be in good condition to hold on during the bumps. My family and I actually found the bumpiness a lot of fun, kind of like an amusement park ride. Anyway, I'm giving this company 5 stars due to their excellent customer service. The traffic to the tour company office was jam packed on a holiday weekend so even though we gave ourselves double the normal travel time to get there, we still found ourselves running late. However, the tour company was so accommodating and waited a few minutes past the designated tour start time for our group to arrive. In addition, after learning that our tour got cut short, they also gave us a full refund. If I'm ever back in OBX again, I would certainly try this tour again with this same company. The experience of riding over the beach (and watching multiple cars get stuck), the breathtaking site of the waves on one side and the dunes on the other, and the thrill of seeing a few wild horses made all the trouble still worthwhile. Highly recommend Corolla Wild...
