General Store by the Pour Kids — Local services in Costa Mesa

The General Store is such a refreshing and much-needed addition to the neighborhood. It’s more than just a retail shop—it’s a creative hub that showcases the work of up-and-coming artists across all mediums while fostering a true sense of community. You can feel the warmth and intention the moment you walk in, from the incredibly friendly staff to the thoughtfully curated selection of art, home goods, and unique pieces they design/create in house! I’m especially obsessed with the shop’s own merch and the hasami collection. It’s a safe, welcoming space where creatives are celebrated, and I’m happy to see something like this...

Excited to have not-just-another shop pop up but a cool new place that cares about giving back to the community of Costa Mesa! There are five businesses owners I met and they all have different vibes but work together. They have home goods, 3D prints, wood designs, and some apparel selection. But I feel the best part is they let local creatives use their store as an outlet to build a more inclusive space that reaches more demographics.
