So this complaint is with Ace Hardware overall, I recently stopped in to purchase some Milwaukee pack out storage containers. They have a huge advertisement for.( The more you spend the more you save) With photos of the items that are by Milwaukee and are in the pack out family of storage containers. However, only a select a few of the containers are actually eligible for the promotion. Nowhere does it indicate what SKU numbers are eligible, And there is no one at the store that can tell you any different… Because there is no excuse indicated on the promotion. So after spending 40 minutes in the store, getting together the compartments that I wanted to put together as a unit, and then taking them all the way to the front of the store, waiting in line, and then going to the checkout process with all these items, Unfortunately, the sales clerk tells me that even though I’m spending the $500 that is indicated on the promotion to save 200… I will only be saving $80 and she did not know why. After an hour in the store, I find out that only certain containers can be purchased to get the discount. Of course the ones you need are the ones that are not included, even though they’re all clearly put in the photo on the promotion. At the end of the day, it’s just deceptive and I drove 35 minutes to get to the store spent over an hour and a half figuring out why I would not be saving the promotion and in the end they got me I spent $120 more than I intended because their promotion is designed to do just that So Ace Hardware, you can keep that 120 bucks that you suckered me out of I will never shop in your store again. I don’t care if I have to drive 35 minutes in a different direction I won’t buy so much as a pencil out of your store. And I will divert any of my fellow construction team members from ever shopping there, I’m not a person to leave reviews, but in this case, I believe Ace Hardware has earned It.. Never have been a big fan of Ace Hardware. Everything in there is $10 more Expensive than Home Depot and until this experience, I didn’t mind shopping there when it was close by… But like I said, I will never come in the store again… Ever! If I had more time on my hands, I would turn this over to Ohio Attorney General because it’s deceptive advertising the Bait and switch Routine. I gave it two stars because at least the sales ladies in the store Were polite and apologetic for the...
Read moreSo let me start off by saying, there aint nothing wrong with the selection of products here. But it is what you're gonna get when you go to Ace Hardware. It's all the same, however, the employee who basically forced me to get my stuff as fast as possible Had me feeling some sort of way.I wasn't sure if it 'cause I'm covered in prison. Can't tattoos?Or because my phone was half black. But one of the other , he was very much so profiling us and man he's extremely lucky I'm working on me. But, anyway, this band finds me down in the screw section at first seems very helpful, then proceeds to say, do you need anything else and what I'm looking for when I tell them what I'm looking for he runs over there and grabs it doesn't even let me pick through stuff then. He takes us to make the key and says alright, so you guys can go now right and I said yeah, then I cut down a 2 mile to look at something and he told another employee and I heard him say it, go watch them if this is how you treat people that have an account with you for years. Never stolen a thing from you and. I wish I'll be there instead of walmart where you...
Read morePosting for a friend: "Was standing outside, social distancing, waiting for my turn to enter store. Four other people outside also waiting. Everyone was scattered - there was no line. Employee came out, yelled at me for where I was standing, told me to get in line. There was no line. I moved behind another customer, social distancing six feet away. Customer I stood behind put his hand up at me as if I was too close. I told him I knew what six feet is. He called me an a-hole. Then manager came outside, told me to leave and never come back."
My comment: If your store is limiting the number of people who are allowed to enter, why not do what so many other businesses are doing and make a sign as to where the line should begin and mark the sidewalk ever six feet where you want potential customers to stand. There is no reason for an employee to be so rude to a customer who was just minding his own business, social distancing, waiting his turn to enter the store. Shame on you. Way to make a difficult time even more difficult. I thought Ace was the place for the helpful, hardware man. Guess not on...
