I assume online shopping is sent from here.
I love Crate & Barrel, but I’m officially done with their online shopping experience.
They use Inland shipping, and every single time they do, I never receive my order. I always have to call customer service, and then they resend the item. My most recent order was placed on April 8th for Easter. It’s now April 19th, and not only has it still not arrived—it’s clearly not going to make it in time for Easter. The expected delivery date says April 15th, which has come and gone without any update.
This isn’t a one-off. It’s a consistent problem: Inland delivers to the wrong house, I call Crate & Barrel, and then they resend it—usually through FedEx—at which point it finally arrives within a day or two. I’ve complained multiple times about Inland, yet Crate & Barrel keeps using them for my orders.
One time, I had $1,500 worth of curtains delivered to the wrong location. Crate & Barrel replaced the order and sent it via FedEx. A week or two later, a complete stranger showed up at my house with the original package. I actually drove the extra set back to the store because that was just too much money to keep in good conscience.
It’s beyond frustrating. I’ve been dealing with these shipping issues for over two years now. At this point, if I can’t make the hour-long drive to the nearest Crate & Barrel store, I guess I’ll just have to go without—or shop at Pottery Barn or Williams-Sonoma. I like those stores too, but Crate & Barrel has always been my favorite and go to store.
And to top it all off? I just received an email from Crate & Barrel asking me to review the products that still haven't...
Read moreTruckers: From NJTpk exit 8 toll plaza, stay left and go 2.5 miles to Hwy 130 North exit. Go north a couple miles, around a traffic circle, and turn right at the light onto Half Acre Rd. Go straight through first light, you'll see the Amazon building to your left. After Amazon, get in left turn lane, T/L (there's a sign) for Crate & Barrel shipping and receiving. Go to the end of that 10mph street between the black fencing, and T/R. You are facing the guard shack.
Pull up. Guard gives you a sign-in sheet to fill out. In my case I was live loading so I told him I was an empty live load, he called the warehouse and they assigned me dock door 36 facing Amazon. Looks like doors 100+ are on the opposite side of the building. Guard told me the warehouse will give me the paperwork and seal and I should seal it before heading back to security.
Note No parking here, but if you come north up the turnpike you can stop near exit 7 at Woodrow Wilson oasis, where they have DD, BK, and Panda Express, as well...
Read moreAbsolute nightmare. Told my sofa was going to be sent back to the warehouse, and available for pick up on specific day any time as long it was 15 minutes before closing. Movers come to pick up and told sofa is not at warehouse, rather an off-site location and it wouldn’t be there for 2 hours. Mind you I’m told by reception/coordinator Loraine the off site location is only 15-20 minutes away. 2 hours go by and no sofa. Loraine is also now missing and we can’t get any information on where the sofa is. Phone rings and rings and no answer. Customer service can’t even track them down. The best part is that my movers are charging me extra for every minute spent waiting for this sofa. If I could give negative...
