Walk in, small old seemingly sweet lady greets me, asks me what I'm looking for. I ask her is they had any Demerara Sugar, she said no, I accepted her answer and then move to asking if they had candy thermometers, she said no. I look around and see one in the back corner right of her store and said "I think there is one right there so you mind if I check". She said "no, there is nothing for you here". Taken aback, I ask "so I can't look around and see if that's what I need" she again states that "no, you can not look around and we're sorry that we can not help you." Although in a very seemingly sweet voice I was pretty surprised at this reaction. I am a 6'2" male so I acknowledge that she may have felt slightly uncomfortable. But my experience here was not very good and she made me feel like my business was not good enough for her. That's difficult because there are not many specialty stores like this in the area and I prefer to support locally...
