TERRIBLE!!!! My husband and I have been regulars for so long. I had only taken a bite of my food and my husband was preparing his pho when I found maggots in the broccoli. We were so disgusted we no longer wanted to eat. We were hoping to be offered a resolution but the boy who was working the front said he didn't understand what I wanted him to do. He stated that the broccoli was the only thing with maggots but that he understood how we felt. He then said he couldn't do anything because they spent money on the food and they spent time making it.
We weren't in the mood so we paid for the food he claimed had "no maggots" and left. I'm disgusted by how the situation was handled, they said they would bring out a new plate of broccoli. After reading some reviews I didn't feel comfortable knowing they would possibly bring out the same plate or broccoli from the same bag. No apology offered, extremely disappointed.
I wanted to speak to a manager and he said it's a family run business, him and his mom working the front. I am an avid supporter of small businesses and family owned businesses but the way this situation was handled or rather the lack of, was extremely...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I consider myself a pho enthusiast. At one point I ate pho nearly every day for an entire year and have even learned to make authentic pho at home. With that said, this was hands down one of the worst pho experiences I’ve ever had.
The broth was a pale yellow transparent color, it had an unpleasant oily sweetness that completely overpowered the dish. I tried to balance it out with Sriracha, soy sauce, and limes, but nothing helped. Even worse, the noodles themselves seemed to be infused with the same overly sweet flavor, making the entire bowl nearly inedible.
The summer rolls were equally disappointing—bland and poorly assembled. To top it off, the service left much to be desired. I ordered two large plain noodle pho’s, summer rolls, and two glasses of water. While the food eventually arrived, the water never did. I noticed that four patrons who came in after me were immediately served water, while I had to get up more than halfway through my meal and go to the front just to ask for it.
Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this...
Read moreI lived in Arlington & Falls Church for 3 years and loved the Vietnamese cuisine the areas offered. Supposedly the Eden Center at 7 Corners and the surrounding area has the largest number of Vietnamese-Americans in the country so you know the cuisine is good. I have had my fair share of Pho while living there and I was delighted to find this place when I moved to Gambrills, MD.
Saigon Noodle House in Crofton, MD offers the best Pho you can find outside of NoVA. The beef broth is homemade & very low in sodium & the portions are enormous. You get a decent amount of beef cuts and noodles with your bowl of Pho and it only costs $7.95! I have also tried the clay pot and it is excellent. Definitely give the summer rolls a try while here. The place has never had more than 7 tables seated when I've been there and the service is very fast. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes to be served my food.
Also note that this place is inside the same stripmall as the Rita's italian ice and easy to miss if you...
