Last Monday my Drs office called in a refill IN FRONT OF ME. I waited 3 hrs - at a friend's because I live out in Tansi . Then drive across town to Walgreens I went to the drive thru because I don't have ac and my little dog was with me. The person who was working on the window was very loud and intrusive I had my driver's license in my hand so they would know my name and address etc they refused to take it from me and insisted on me saying my name which they then acted like they couldn't understand ( my name is the equivalent of Jane Doe!) and repeated it loudly several times then insisted that I tell them the name of my prescription so they could loudly announce that to everyone repeatedly then they counted the days and acted as if I was trying to get it too early etc I don't know what was wrong with them they made this huge production out of it acting like I was doing something wrong and making sure everybody inside the store could hear them. After all that the prescription was not ready when I expressed some annoyance that three and a half hours had gone by since they had received it the clerk acted like I was in the wrong and told me to come back in 30 minutes. That was one of the days when the heat index was well over 100°. I was finally able to find some shade and waited 45 minutes before heading back. Close to an hour had gone by by the time I got back up to the drive-thru window. It was a different person who strangely did not seem to need to repeat my name or the name of the prescription or any of the rigmarole the first person put me through. However they said the prescription still wasn't ready when I objected they went and checked again and it was just done. If it takes almost 5 hours on a Monday afternoon to fill a simple prescription there's a problem with the store hire some more help or do something it's absolutely ridiculous and while you're at it refresh...
Read moreThe pharmacy is actually the worst part of that place. I worked there, and the store side ran smoothly, but the pharmacy was always a mess. I understand that it can be a hard and frustrating job; I started working as a Medical Assistant (MA), so I know how difficult it can be to deal with frustrated customers or patients. However, that doesn't give the pharmacist the right to be rude to someone who is just trying to get their medication.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and am currently experiencing an active flare-up. I am in school and work full-time, so when my foot loses all feeling, I can’t walk to do anything. My neurologist sent over a prescription yesterday, which I was told would be ready for pickup around 8 PM. Then, this morning, I received a call saying they didn’t have enough medication to give me.
Why would they call and say it's ready for pickup if they knew they didn’t have enough in stock? I was advised to call another pharmacy and get it transferred, which was fine, but Walgreens is one of the only pharmacies that accept my insurance. When I tried to go through CVS, the price—even with GoodRx—was over $200, which I simply cannot afford.
When I called Walgreens again, they informed me that they were completely out of stock. This is strange because I was told they had at least half when I called last night. I was also informed that they wouldn’t get more for almost a week! This situation is ridiculous. I understand that some things can be out of their control, but if the staff had been nicer and more helpful, I wouldn't be...
Read moreRecently seem to be having a lot of problems with their pharmacy. It’ll tell you on the app all these prescriptions of my grandma’s are ready for pickup, and then you arrive and they tell you at the window there’s only a prescription for one or 2 of them and they’ll refuse to give you the others. Or they’ll just flat out tell you you don’t have a prescription or refill for it and then we call the dr and they tell us the complete opposite that they DID send an order for it, somehow Walgreens just can’t manage to complete it. Went to ExacCare today and saw a dr, he told me he was prescribing me Amoxicillin, Prednisone, and Zofran, watched him write it down on his pad as he was telling me what he was gonna prescribe me. Get to Walgreens and they hand me just the amoxicillin, I tell them there should be 3 “no just this one” and they refuse to give it to me. Absolutely ridiculous. I will be using a different pharmacy from this point forward since my family seem to be having problem after problem with them filling our...
