Update: Warranty experience We had a push mower that needed a new handle that is under a Rural King warranty. We don't have access to a welder so needed to get it fixed under the warranty. My expectation was we could go into customer service desk and make a appointment to drop it off at a time when the service dept had time and fit into my schedule (I work 3rds and have a long commute). Unfortunately it took 3 direct visits and 2 phone calls to get it dropped off. The phone number the service person uses is a Florida number instead of a Crossville one, however for whatever reason when he left a message our phone didn't get it. It's a ineffective method and we were told different incorrect things by several associates. I'm not taking any stars off because I won't buy another warranty in future, I don't want to bother the service desk (they get enough hassles) while I'm exhausted because there's no clear communication with the service dept. The average person whom lives in Crossville it probably wouldn't be so inconvenient. Truly though, a online scheduling program would be a modern upgrade that would benefit everyone involved. **Also, the "replacement" warranty doesn't cover full cost. Our mower cost $129 and Rural Kings mowers cost $199 now. So we got $129, for a broken handle?, so the warranties doesn't actually cover inflation. So you are better off putting $10 a month in savings for new equipment.
Very popular farm store in Crossville. Free popcorn! Website is good for comparing prices before you go, but often prices are competitive. Also make sure cashier checks that they have product in stock as website, store inventory may say there, but it might not be. It's hit and miss on some items like regular salt blocks or pine shavings but generally they have...
Read moreWe were here for the first time yesterday. This store is a DISASTER. I don't know if it's because of a higher volume of stuff getting ready for Christmas, or if they are always like this. You literally could not walk around. You could not cross from one side of the main aisle to the other because so many "displays" were in the way. I was pushing a small sized stroller (not a shopping cart) and could not navigate the store because of the disorder. There was not room to walk around and shop. The "displays" were made up of folding tables with stuff piled high on them. Very unprofessional looking. The said stuff was unfolded, falling off the tables, boots out of boxes...what a MESS! We came looking specifically for a pair of child size bibs. We could not find ANY, mainly because they apparently don't have them, and also because NONE of the clothing was segregated by size or gender. I finally was able to locate one pair of bibs in an area unrelated to the clothing, so we went to check out. They have multiple cash registers, but only two open...on a Saturday afternoon. Consequently the lines were 10-15 people long. We put our stuff back and went to TRACTOR SUPPLY COMPANY, where we easily found what we were looking for and checked out within 5 minutes of standing in line. Don't go to this location. I've been to Rural King in Indiana. That's a good store: organized, easy to navigate, clean, efficient. They apparently know something about running a store up there that the manager down in Crossville, TN doesn't know. We definitely will not be back to...
Read moreFree popcorn when you enter the store free is nice. Then it goes downhill from there. You can NEVER find an employee to help you when you have a question or need assistance. N E V E R !!! A ton of items are not in the correct spot with correct price labels so it's always a guessing game what you are going to pay for something. Empty shelves. Unable to find things, no one to help you find it = go elsewhere, TRACTOR SUPPLY across the street would be a better choice if you have questions. Then if you go to buy something, their cash registers are ALWAYS malfunctioning if you are using a debit/credit card. They will have you run your card 3, 4, 5 times & then still have to have you go to the service counter (and wait in that line now) for them to ring your purchase so you can use your card. If you shop here, it's a lot easier to bring cash to pay (unless you want to screw around waiting in multiple lines. Running your card numerous times & totally wasting a ton of your time). The parking lot is ridiculous. They have so much stuff for sale outside in the parking lot so it makes the amount of parking spaces to park in limited. They do have some handicap parking spots, but they are not marked vary well & they are very limited. I personally try to avoid having to go here because of all the issues I've mentioned above & I think they are pretty pricey on many things. My opinion would be to shop elsewhere if you can. Sorry Rural King, unfortunately you've failed to...
