I must say that I am very pleased with the customer service at Crystal Lake Furniture, Mari Ann to be specific. I ended up at Crystal Lake Furniture after a very unpleasant dealing with Art Van Furniture attempting to buy an England brand sofa and love seat . I needed custom built sofa's with very specific spring upgrades that the England brand offers in their furniture line. After failing at Art Van Furniture to custom order the sofa's I wanted because they are not true England brand dealers, I was at a loss. I knew what sofa's I wanted and what options I wanted , I just could not get a hold of an England Brand dealer in my area other than Art Van Furniture. I expanded my search area in the dealer locator to over 25 miles and my search returned Crystal Lake Furniture. I promptly called and Mari Ann picked up. I explained what my situation was and what I was looking for while crossing my fingers that Mari Ann was familiar with the options I was looking for. To my delight she knew exactly what I was talking about plus informed me on things that I was not familiar with. I found an England brand dealer that could place the order for exactly what I wanted, or what I thought I wanted. Mari Ann encouraged me to take the fabric samples that I was ordering on the sofa's home to see if that was really what would work in my home and match the rest of my living room. I took her advice and took the samples home and to my wife and my surprise, it was not a good match. Mari Ann saved us from having sofa's that would not match the rest of our living room. After this I have learned to bring a sofa cushion , carpet sample and anything else you are trying to match to the store when picking fabrics for your furniture. Thanks Mari Ann!! Read moreWe've purchased almost all our furniture through Crystal Lake Furniture because the customer service is just outstanding. We started the furniture-buying process without knowing where to start, and ventured out to Crystal Lake Furniture as they carry the Bassett brand. Although the layout of the store was not quite what we expected (it's less like a showroom than most furniture stores), Mari Ann kindly approached us asking if she could help. Little did she know how much help we would need and how much time she would be spending with us! She patiently listened as we told her what we had in mind, showed us several pieces on the floor that might interest us, and pored through numerous catalogs to find us exactly what we were looking for. She also suggested pieces with our budget in mind and worked within that budget to make sure we were able to get everything we needed. She made the whole process enjoyable and as stress-free as possible.
Kim also was extremely helpful to us as she coordinated the deliveries of the furniture and set-up a furniture repair for us (2 of our dressers needed minor paint touch-ups). Out of all the furniture we purchased (living room, dining room, bedrooms, family room, and office), those were the only issues we had, and they were addressed timely and professionally. Kim was also available during several of our visits to the store and was always helpful, knowledgeable, and patient as we worked through our furniture decisions.
The delivery team is excellent as well-- prompt, careful, and very courteous. They set up everything for us and showed us anything we might need to know in regards to using the furniture. They even moved some of the pieces back and forth for us as we decided on the best location for them in the space of the room.

Read moreNew to CL we choose this funiture store based on the good reviews. Sad to say we have learned a pretty expensive lesson. We placed our order 12-13-18 we received half of our order a month later and Yesterday 2-3-19 my husband picked up the other piece from their store because Mary the sales person that took our measurements, somehow the cuddler piece she keep pressing sell and kept emphasizing was a item being discontinued didn’t not fit through our front door. When the delivery men came she called us and She was very nasty and frankly crossed the line. She was overly rude to the point we basically didn’t want to deal with this issue no more and much rather pay a restocking fee for the whole thing. We were able to speak to kim the manager whom basically runs the store on her own and is always cleaning up the mess, I say this because when we were purchasing the furniture Mary didn’t even know what she was doing when handling our paper work and kept asking Kim which she seem to be frustrated and overwhelmed that she kept getting pulled to fix her mistakes. Not once did we return the nasty demeanor or attitudes and it just wasn’t Mary it was the rest of her staff also, we had to come in to sign papers for the other order and the ladies were so rude when we asked questions they had such an attitude and then tried selling us an ottoman. Smh. If you must deal with them only deal with Kim everyone else is beyond rude. Btw the couches had a 10yr warranty but just a month we had the first piece and the cushions are coming apart at the seems, as far as quality I don’t think it’s great either the furniture looks nice but not functional at all.
