Belk — Local services in Cullman

Will never return to this location. I ran in yesterday morning to pick up a last minute mens cologne gift for my daughters boyfriend. I wondered thru the shoes first and then walked back to fragrance station. I had nothing in my hand and because I saw there was only 1 person helping customers at the time I stepped back to wait my turn. All customers at the counter were being very patient and nice. Myself and another were both waiting again with nothing in our hands (this is important) the woman working the fragrance counter shouted at myself and 2 other customers that if we weren't buying a fragrance or makeup we need to go somewhere else to check out. All of our faces must have made the same confused expression because she repeated herself louder and pointed. I smiled a little and said I actually was waiting my turn because I had a question about a cologne gift but you're absolutely right I do need to go somewhere else and I turned and left the store, I hopped over to Ulta to make my purchase. The clothing area has been very messy the past few times I’ve gone to this location. Not just messy clothing arrangements, but trashed floors. There was a sale going on for buy one get one free. I found a dress I liked and tried to find something else in the same brand (had to be the same brand to apply the BOGO sale). Everything else was either not my size or not my style, which I was fine with. When I checked out, the cashier was rude- wouldn’t smile and became condescending. She acted like she thought I was stupid for not getting one more item to apply the sale. After asking me three times, I wondered if she gets perks for making customers grab more items, even if they don’t want them. Yes, it would save money to have two items, but it would have been a waste to grab something random in my case. I was extremely confused why the cashier wanted to make me feel stupid if it supposedly doesn’t affect her, whether I get another item or not. She wasn’t exactly rude at the beginning, but her countenance and attitude changed toward me after I didn’t care about...

I went into Belks tonight to buy some makeup and it is definitely the last trip to this location I'll ever make. They closed at 9. I went in about 25 min to 9 and I saw 3 sales people in the whole store. One was a young guy that nearly ran me over in the walking area because he chose to walk on his left side which was my right side. I stopped to keep him from running me over and he just stopped and stood there glaring at me until I finally went to the wrong side to let him by. He never spoke. Unexcusable rudeness. Then I got to the makeup counter and kept standing there. After about 5 minutes, a saleslady went behind the counter, was standing nearly in front of me and started closing out the drawer. I kept standing there and she just kept ignoring me. I decided that they sell makeup a lot of places and obviously, Belk in Cullman didn't want my business. So I went back to my car and left....
