Vickery Village — Local services in Cumming

I love the atmosphere here. It is perfect to sit out in the middle entertainment area in the fall. This is my go-to place for fall. They have a beautiful flower shop there called The Flower Shop. I have had both my homecoming and prom cressiages created there. Very satisfied! They have a seafood restaurant I have been to called Branchwater that is very good, as well as the Chill Hill frozen yogurt with excellent customer service. I know the owner, and he has always been so nice. Sydney's Pizza used to be there, but they have since changed the name to Village Pizza (I believe). They have an eyecare place, a personal training facility, a winery, a gallery of some sort, and a Rick Tanner's. Cinco, an authentic Mexican restaurant, is also there. While this has a small town center concept, their green space is small. The last few times here there have been a large number of kids of all ages, which is not the problem. The problem is the number of balls. Soccer, football, softball and even whiffle ball and batting. Too many ball activities with easily 30+ children and a few adults. Too small a space for all the ball games. We were on the Cinco patio dining Saturday when a soccer size ball bounced onto our table where my plate had been just minutes before. We have seen other places like this posting signs specifically "No Ball Playing". This space should definitely adopt this policy. This place has lots of great things, probably the best of which is Nito Cafe. We love the food and atmosphere there. There's also a decent ice cream place called Chill Hill and I do emphasize the word decent, it's not incredible but what's nice about it is that it's right on a quad area (field) where kids can run around and play and be kids. There are a couple bars in the village that have good craft brews but they're a little pricey and their food is mediocre. There's a really cute pinterest projects store (at the time of this review) and a few other great places. Overall this really makes a great date night location or day out with your kids, or even an evening at the bar...
