I’ve been coming to Cinco for years, though that is almost certainly coming to an end. Whether or not I am visiting, I get the feeling Cinco is not going to be open much longer. My second to last experience: a Saturday afternoon (day of Indy 500, for context on timing) - called in a to go order, was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes after placing the call. There was one couple at the bar, mother with two sons sitting in a booth, and one singular gentleman also waiting for a to go order. This was roughly 1:30pm on a Saturday. 1 wait staff for the entire place - bar, outside, inside, and to go orders. 20 minutes after my arrival (40 minutes after calling ahead and placing my order) I received my order of one item, a blacked chicken wrap. My most recent visit: 2pm on a Friday afternoon (yesterday). No host or hostess at the stand. A couple at the bar, a table of three in an indoor booth, and a couple of ladies sitting outside. It took about 5 minutes before a staff member came out from the back - a gentleman who’s been my waiter before - who got my wife and I sat. We then sat at our table for about 6-7 minutes with no follow-up of a wait staff before we left. Nobody came over to ask for drink orders, bring chips - just totally neglected following being sat. What did us in was when we saw the gentleman who sat us walk out of Cinco and walk across the Vickey Village turf area and go behind the ice cream shop for a couple minutes. To do what - while on the clock - I can’t imagine. Worth noting: while waiting to be sat there was one girl in uniform sitting with her face in her phone the entire time. Additionally, as we left we noticed that the two ladies outside with us had all of their drinks fully empty (water, cocktails, etc.) and chips emptied — certainly gave off the vibe that they hadn’t been waited on for some time. Lastly, the outdoor tables where a people had previously eaten where not bussed.
All this to say, cinco is clearly not investing in staffing their establishment, so my guess is they’ll be out of business soon? If not for their profits, for their horrid service in what seems at an attempt to right their books? Really disappointing, and seems to have arisen...

Flavorless food, bad service, good environment. I don't know how you mess up Mexican but this place has it figured out. Food basically tastes like nothing. I ordered the chimichanga. Took only a couple of bites to realize it had no flavor but I resigned myself to deal with it and just not come back. I was mostly finished when I realized that part of the problem was that it was made wrong. The kitchen put the refried beans IN the chimichanga instead of on the side. So now you have flavorless steak, onions and peppers mixed into a flavorless refried bean slurry. I really can't overstate how bland the food is here.
Manager apologized and ended up comping the dish. She was nice though she wouldn't admit the kitchen messed up. Instead she explained that if only the server had walked me through ordering I would've been able to order correctly, as though maybe I'd misread the menu which clearly states "served WITH rice and refried beans".
I gave two stars because the staff is friendly and the outdoor seating is nice. There's decent shade and the large fans create a nice breeze. The atmosphere is good especially for families since there's a small green area for kids to play. The only downside is that sometimes groups of kids just randomly stalk through the patio area and other times children come shrieking though unchecked.
I won't be back. My girlfriend's food was equally bland. I understand restaurant's are struggling to find, train, retain talent so I can forgive the bad service even though they served my girlfriend's Corona w/o a lime, I mean seriously who does that lol!? I just can't excuse the bad food. Literally every component was bland, the corn, the cheese, the enchilada sauce,...
Read moreVery disappointed we always loved Cincos don't go as often anymore because its not so close. Maybe changed owner's but my husband had the Chimichanga he always loved and it didn't even look like a chimichanga at all. Never in our life did we ever get a chimichanga looking like that it wasn't even wrapped up the right way. Taste was poor he didn't like it at all and he loves chimichangas and Mexican He couldn't even eat his rice and beans. Didn't like any of it.
I had the Carne Tropicale and the grilled vegetables were diced up peppers the cheese was not there the sauteed spinach was so little not worth mentioning and definitely NOT 6 oz. Of steak. Since when are diced up peppers considered grilled vegetables? I didn't get the fajitas because I didn't feel like all those sauteed peppers and you get much more steak with that but instead I got raw peppers diced up as my grilled vegetables plus my server said NO you get the same amount of steak whether its the one I got or the carne asada or the steak fajitas this was definitely NOT true. Plus I didn't know there was barbeque sauce on top of the steak. I couldn't eat the rissoto But by the time I found our server (I got up looking for him after I ordered but couldn't find him and by the time I got him) I said I wanted to get something instead of the risotto he said it was too late it was on it's way out but it wasn't because it didn't come out right away by no means. Come to find out I was hungry it was ALL risotto A pinapple scooped out with all risotto filling the pinapple and your other stuff on top. Cincos big fail last night. Serious we always recommend you but know I feel bad because it was HORRIBLE!! I'll have to fix my recommendations for Mexican to...
