Insight Education — Local services in Cupertino

I graduated high school this past summer and have been very happy with the help and counseling I received from the team at Insight Education. I’ve been working with them for a few years, and their counselors were helpful through every stage of my college admissions journey. They helped me map out my high school courses from my freshman year so that I’d have all the right pre-requisites completed for the majors I was interested in applying to. They also helped me prepare for SATs, assessing where I was and helping structure a plan to achieve the range I needed to apply to my reach and target schools.

But where they mattered most was helping me find my voice in writing my college essays. For me this was the most difficult part of the process where I’d very often find myself stuck and unable to write. Insight’s counselors helped me break through by working with me through various exercises where I discovered examples from my life experiences that I could turn into stories that provided a full picture of who I am. They are really gifted at bringing that out of you. They helped me find examples that I had forgotten about or would have never considered!

Navigating the college process is like journeying through unchartered waters. Insight provides structure to navigate this journey through the method it uses with its students. I've mainly worked with Ajit, and he brings years of experience working with students in order to help them accomplish their goal of landing their dream schools. What mainly impresses me with Ajit is his structured process of approaching the admissions journey, providing feedback for my essays in a timely manner, and providing helpful feedback for the college interview process (Purvi helped in this as well and is equally amazing!). Insight Education provided sound counseling to my son during the college application process. He recieved excellent guidance from Zach Pava, one of their counselors, on various topics eg. how to apply to competitive summer programs/internships, narrowing down the list of universities based on my son's interests, organizing his extracurriculars and emphasizing what is important, and most importantly critiquing the essays that he wrote for all the college applications. Zach always listened to my son first before providing his own input, and he directed him in a gentle and friendly manner.
