I really don't want to be a bother but I think it should be noted that every time I come here I'm regarded with some degree of disrespect. I'm not sure why that is; maybe no one is getting paid enough or maybe it's just been hard to work in this industry throughout the pandemic. While I sympathize in that respect, there is no reason in my mind why customers who regularly use the services offered here should be treated with such disregard. My experience today rubbed me the wrong way in particular. I'm used to using the kiosk in front that prints properly formatted labels for my packages. I am on the autism spectrum so I have a certain difficulty for processing information. I had some issues with the address given to me so I brought it up to the desk to ask for help. While it's no ones fault for not being able to notice I was struggling at face value, I was mocked for not understanding the way in which I was directed to label my package by hand. The person who was helping me appeared angry that I did not understand, and I couldn't figure out what it was I did or said wrong. He and the gentleman next to him had a joking exchange about my mistake that was frankly humiliating. I know I know, "gen z looking person doesn't know how to mail a package" or whatever but I found this to be inconsiderate. If this was not a consistent issue with this location (again this is not the first time I've been regarded poorly here for asking for assistance) I wouldn't have bothered to say anything. I have also observed that in general, customers here are often disrespected and regarded poorly.I have no such issues at the other post offices I have used in the past who had no problem at all answering questions and walking me through what I need to do even if it might have seemed a bit obvious to them. I would just suggest that maybe the folks working here, who are probably fine people otherwise, consider that they are there to help people send and recieve their mail, and that this might entail helping people who may not know what they're doing or are as familiar with the process. Treating people poorly who are confused or ask questions that can be answered simply seems a bit counter intuitive. The services themselves are sufficient enough, I just didn't appreciate the disrespect and I'll probably not come back to this location again. I hope I'm not dismissed as merely being "offended," again I can understand why this might be a stressful job, and I do apologize for the somewhat lengthy review. I do hope that this will not be an issue for others in the future. Thank you...
Read moreGrew up in this town been going to this post office for 20+ years⌠service really went down from 4/5 stars to 1/2
This is the story of my most recent trip here that boiled my blood and ruined my entire day. Also causing me to be late for work.
The old white guy at the counter was the only one who didnât have a name tagâŚ. So thereâs no accountability to claimâŚ.
When I finished waiting in line and walked to the counter with a P.O. Box overflow tag, the clerk said you went out of town and didnât feel like telling anyone huhâŚ. I said Iâm helping my father get mail from his P.O. Box without letting me finish he then says in a condescending tone well youâre not going to get the mail if itâs not your mailbox. I then said Iâve been added onto the account, says oh weâll see about that. I hear him in the back saying well his last name matches but not the first I canât give him the mailâŚ.
I was told to leave without getting the P.O. Box mailâŚ.
I sat in my car calling my father who is out of the country and was debating to drive back home since work was starting soon⌠back to Sacramento without completing my questâŚ. I decided to go back in line one last time, spoke to the same guy again and asked well whatâs the process to be added on the mailbox account? He said: The account holder has to come in person and authorize the addâŚ
Well, We did that before 3years ago, clerk then said okay let me go back there and check againâŚ..
For context Iâve been helping gather my parents mail for the past two years but I live in Sacramento nowâŚthe clerk just says well you shouldnât have been given the mail in these last couple of yearsâŚ
So you can understand my frustration⌠after driving 2 hours⌠and get this treatmentâŚ
They finally found my info scribbled on a piece of paper⌠gave me the mailbox contents⌠I dumped it in my car and drove to work late and mood ruined. Didnât have time to sort or use their recycle binsâŚ
The clerk he did say: sorry you had to go through that.
Well⌠Sorry i feel inclined to leave a honest review while looking at this pile of bad experience during my...
Read moreThis place is bad, like really terrible. Employees are actively not good at their job. I was expecting a package 8/16. The carrier out on delivery decided they couldnât read the address and shipped it back. The infamous words no one ever wants to see on their tracking: âreturn to sender.â Last scanned location: Cupertino, ca.
Went to the post office Monday morning 8/18 to see if I could just collect the package myself. Because we all know the post isnât open on Sunday so chances are itâs still there right? Wrong. Clerk was dismissive and unkind. âIt was retuned to sender!â âYes, I understand that but why?â I ask. âAddress was missing apt number.â Okay, I find that hard to believe as it was a printed label but sure. I ask, âdo you have a photo?â âNo!â, okay so no proof? âDo you know where it is currently located?â âIt is being returned!â Clerk says. Right I understand that, but you have to have some way of Telling me where it is exactly as it makes its return trip, right? âNo! It is being returned!â He says. facepalm
They tell me I have to wait for it to travel all the way back across the country, and have the sender ship it again. Ridiculous.
Hey USPS/ Cupertino, why donât you hold the package for 24hrs and mark it pickup at post office before sending it across the country? Why isnât there any way for me to see its current location and progress as it gets sent back? Why is your Cupertino location so bad at answering a simple question, Where. Is. My. Package!?
Somethingâs fishy. The fact that you canât tell me where it is after being RTSâd is extremely strange. If the package doesnât show up back to the sender by the end of the week Iâm contacting the postmaster general for mail theft...
