TPV Poke Center — Local services in Cuyahoga Falls

I’m giving it a 1. Started collecting 4 months ago and honestly thought this shop was cool. After collecting this store is a bunch of crooks . They said they base their prices off of price charting and I find that hard to believe . Because even on price charting a lot of stuff is cheaper on there then what this store. 140 for blooming waters , 129 for prismatic etb, 80 for prismatic bundle . 14 and some change for single packs of prismatic . Every other local card store has stuff way cheaper and at market . Not to mention they blocked me on Facebook for a reason I don’t know . Maybe cuz I laughed at there post of trying to charge 140 for destined rivals etb. They turn off the comments so they don’t get backlash . This store is a rip off , forget the drawings they do , still can save money going to other local card shops . This store gets it from a distributor, if they charged a little over msrp I guarantee they wouldn’t be hurting. The owner is just greedy and doesn’t care about his customers . Back to the drawings the only way they can get people to buy stuff is by doing drawings every week because they’re to EXPENSIVE. Everybody I talk to strangers and friends they all say that this place reseals there product . One guy I met at GameStop said he bought a prismatic etb from them and when he opened it , it was missing the dividers. That’s all I have I usually don’t leave reviews but this store deserved it. Maybe that’s why they have 3 stars

Edit: replying to the owner . STOP DOING DRAWINGS , that’s your guys catch phase every time .lower prices!!!! You guys were quick to raise the 151 upc to 370 when you seen the price go up on the market but when something declines in price you just ignore market! Looking at all the other reviews I see people complain about the same thing with you guys . But it’s just greed with you guys. Money rules...

6/15 edit: They've recently added back the mystery slabs for 40$ and I have never felt more ripped off. We got a 5$ card. I've realized I should stop hoping for a card shop to make a good change and should start looking for a better one. This shop helped me get back into the hobby a few years ago so it's heartbreaking but there's clearly nothing to be done.

I used to have so much love for TPV Pokécenter but I will be seeking a new card shop after having been a frequent customer over the last 2-3 years.

The pricing for Prismatic and Blooming waters are undeniably greed driven. While their original reasoning was that they had to purchase boxes at a higher price and thus sell at a higher price, upon the wave 2 release of prismatic 25$ boxes are being sold at 89$ each. Blooming waters boxes are marked up from 70$ to 125$.

Yes, this is market price, however this is for items that have not released yet and the market has been set by scalpers. Matching this market only encourages them and TPV has made no steps to be part of the change like other card shops such as Freedom or Better plays. This behaviour makes it difficult to impossible for children to be part of the hobby who should always come first, over adults who want nostalgia and shiny cardboard.

It is heart breaking and has broken my trust in the shop, I would be overjoyed if this changes one day and would potentially bring back my business, but apparently the only thing that changes sellers is a poor review from a big...

It’s cool that there is a store that is actually selling pokemon cards as I can’t ever find them anymore. I enjoy collecting. BUT be sure to look at your packs before you buy them here!!! So, this store is 2 hours from me. My parents wanted to surprise me with some packs. They drove 2 hours and got 3 packs of Evolving Skies, 10 pack of Pokemon Go, and some cool special boxes of Destined Rivals. Spent a lot because prices are crazy everywhere now. They don’t know anything about Pokemon cards and was just trying to be nice and get me some. They even asked for help and my mom said the person was nice. I go to open the Evolving Skies and one of the packs were open. Like open with scissors! I didn’t have the heart to tell my parents that they just lost money. They are in their 70s so they don’t know anything about this hobby nor do they want to open cards. That was very disappointing. So please just look at the packs before you buy them! I didn’t get anything good anyway. Last year I spent $800 and didn’t get anything good either. Probably just be my bad luck though 🤷🏻‍♀️ They are one place that actually has packs so that’s a plus.
