I moved in the area a few years ago. I was just driving to go to another church which I found three weeks prior. Although I not feel comfortable with that particular church,my family and I kept going back since it was the closest church that was within our denominational practice. However, one Sunday , we were running late and while driving, I saw West Houston Church of Christ. Then, we decided to stop and go in. I am not sorry we decided to stop there. I loved the service. During the pandemic, we sat down as a family and attended online every Sunday. Now, we can attend church in person and enjoy all the events the church offers. Standing for worship and sitting in the pews listening to the service always fill me with a sense of peace that I never want to stray away from.
If you need to find hope and need healing, you will find it there through the word, worship, and the people. If you are looking for a home church you will also find it there. It is in the word of God, the teachings of the church, the smiles that greet you, and the affirmation you receive that makes it feel like home. I visited only once - will not go again. At bible study, an elder of this congregation recommended listening to radio station KLBJ, a station which plays instrumental religious music.
