Not a fan of being ignored! I spent around $3000.00 on 2 exterior doors and 2 storm doors, measuring and install. It took 4 months from start to finish. They didn't install them all at once. One of the installers unplugged my deep freezer to plug in his saw. There are outlets next to both exterior doors he could have used. He did not plug my freezer back in. I lost all my food ($300) worth. I had to hire someone to help me clean it out after waiting 2 weeks with a promise from Home Depot they would send someone to do it and no one ever showed. It took 2 hours to clean, 2 hours for me to go to the store to buy the food to replace my food. I lost our Christmas turkey with the food spoiled from him unplugging the freezer and didn't get to replace it. Since all my food took up 3 contractor bags, they bags took up my entire trash can, making me forever a week behind getting my trash picked up. No room for my regular trash so a weeks worth will always be in my garage. The installers also cut the wires to my alarm on both doors. I had to pay $100.00 to get that fixed. So, food, alarm, hired help, cleaning supplies, bags, my time and effort, Home Depot cost me $500+ the cost of the doors and installation. Home Depot and the installers would care less this happened. They have taken no responsibility and I'll not pay restitution! They are reckless and rude! I will never step foot in a Home...
Read moreThis review is strictly for the GARDEN Center. They DO NOT WATER their indoor plants. I have been there at last 7 times in the last 6 months and every time I complained to a manager about the wilted, dry and dead plants. I would go back 2-3 weeks later and nothing changed. One time I was in there and 2 whole tables of indoor houseplants were completely dead. I asked the cashier what was happening and she shrugged - could have cared less. The next day we went back because we had forgotten something and when I went into the indoor garden area those 2 tables were completely empty - which means they HD had to write off 2 tables, with 2 shelves full of dead plants. This bothers me for a couple reasons. I care, I care about living things - the plants. I have always been caring and a hard worker and I always give 150% of myself no matter the job. I understand times have changed and there is no work ethic anymore and many employees DON'T care about their job. We were back at Home Depot Sunday 3/23 and AGAIN - there were so many wilted, dead indoor plants, dried out to the max. Another couple were complaining and another lady too. I took pictures this time. The OUTDOOR, outside section with plants? Even more people complaining out there. The blueberry bushes were dried out with no leaves. The pansies were all wilted and there were many others, too many to list. Hopefully corporate takes care of...
Read moreGiven we are all short handed and I'm not a huge contractor, but could you atleast send a forklift out to the garden dept to move soils outside, it is fall planting season, and the cashier told me that the topsoil was sold out so I would have to buy the next grade soil up. So I took the already full cart out to my truck load it then cart back to the back of a fenced in garden dept to get the topsoil, then come back in to get soil conditioner, then go back in to get the mortar I bought, are you getting g the frustration. I personally worked at home depot when I was 18 and the absolute unsatisfactory service I get versus what I was told I have to give is a joke. By the way after I walked back and forth I was leaving and snapped this picture I could have actually saved a trip if the cashier had known yes there is the topsoil that was sold out. It's fall send these items out front Topsoil Mini nuggets Soil conditioner Notice I'm not asking for extra employees just ask that guy that loves to ride around on the forklift to just keep an eye on stock in garden and lumber and that's it. Also it would be nice if the management team would be available when contractors have a suggestion, we are dealing with a lack of help too so we understand, but at the very least make it just a little easier on contractors to load there...
