I usually go to Waffle House in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, but I notice the particular evenings that I choose to go. Why? Because one of their best employees - Tonya is her name - only works 5 overnights a week; and she makes one perfect peanut butter waffle. Ok, it's a waffle, which doesn't seem to require much skill - unless you make it exactly how a picky person loves it made every single time. That takes more than skill, that takes caring about the customer. She's been there for years, so she's not just committed to her customers, but to the company, as well. I hope they compensate her for what she's worth. There are several other great employees at the Dahlonega, GA location; but she's the best, bar none. Everything else she's cooked for me has always been awesome, but the waffle still stands out. It's so simple that anyone can supposedly do it, but they can't - because the details are overlooked; and even waffles have details if you care enough to make them how the customer really wants. Tonya cares about her customers and about doing an excellent job; I know this because I watch how she works while I'm there - in the middle of the night with no one around. I'm not sure of her official title; I don't even know her last name. I know, however, that she needs to be promoted and to be teaching other employees how to understand the customer; although, personally, I'd hate to see her do anything else. She's a real gem with her warm smile and friendly attitude. But as I mentioned, this location has many, many amazing staff members whose names I, unfortunately, don't remember; I highly recommend you give this Waffle House a try. I hope you'll leave a big tip when you do because, come on, this place is open 24/7 every single day of the year! And they're nice about it here! Where else are you going...

One waitress yelled orders to the cook from 4 feet away (WTF?) then stood there and did nothing even after we asked if they would clear a table for us... She said we should just sit at the bar, which ironically had not even been cleared yet....
They even talked trash about other customers that had just left (they sat at the dirty bar for 15 min with no service before leaving.)
The only person working was the chef...
I understand that customer service can be difficult but how hard is it to clear a table? (They had at least 4 dirty tables to be cleaned.) There is absolutely no excuse here... Who ever owns this waffle house needs to take action otherwise they will continue to lose money.
Never going to this waffle house again, avoid it like the plague unless you are a fan of wasteing your time and "Inconveniencing" the staff by your presence...
Due to the poor service they likely lost close to $200 in sales from all the people that walked out...
