Lancaster Kiest Shopping Center — Local services in Dallas

I like this place. They do need an actual meat and deli counter and a larger variety of baked goods but for the most part I like shopping here. This fiesta is better that the one on Ledbetter or Illinois Ave in Oak Cliff. The only thing is a cashier was upset at me and scolded me when I started removing the extra plastic bags she used to double sack all of my groceries after smashing my chips on the counter when she threw the bag. The fiesta on Lancaster it's got a new meat market not just the packaged meat that you see in most grocery stores this one has an actual meat market which was great and the prices is great the only difficulty with me in that store is you know they have a lot of Spanish people working there who don't really understand you when you're speaking English and that's kind of a problem when you're a customer and their behind the counter but other than that the store is great it's got a lot of amenities in the bathroom for men and women and you know it's in a good location I would be going back to my...

This shopping center has survived when others have gone belly up. There are shop keepers here that fight to continue being providers of services to the surrounding community which happens to be predominately African American. Residents come for food, clothing,financial services,as well as insurance and counseling for emotional disabilities. The center supports the community and the community supports the shopping center.
