Pacifica Archery — Local services in Daly City

I'm told that Archery is craaaazy popular right now, in part due to heroic archer girls. Hunger Games, anyone? Or Brave? I don't really know. What I do know is that if you want a taste of what it's like to pick up a bow, knock an arrow, and let it go zinging into a distant target, Pacifica Archery is a very pleasent way to handle it.

I had a Groupon (I think? Maybe a Living Social? They all blur together) and that Groupon got me a lesson for myself and the boy, rental gear, and plenty of time to shoot until I was sore. This does not take long. The facility is great, the managers were nice, and I had a blast. Let's be honest, I don't know enough about the whole sport to really judge. But I know that I enjoyed myself, and if you want to get a taste of an ancient sport, go. I suspect you'll enjoy it too.

Easy to find off the Dalt City Bart station for those of you who don't have a car. Oh, and the pizza place next door makes for a great snack pit stop!

I took an archery lesson at Pacifica last summer while visiting California, and absolutely loved it! Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I had a great lesson and a wonderful time. Over the past year, I wanted to continue archery, but I live in Hawaii, and my island doesn't have an archery store that sells recurves. After trying and trying for months to get my own gear, and not succeeding, I came back to Pacifica. I gave them a call, asked them if they could help me get a good beginner bow and all of the gear, and ship it to me. They agreed, filled me in on even more useful tips and information, and my bow and gear arrived quickly, right on my birthday! Best birthday present ever! Wonderful people, great place. Can't recommend it...
