Was not told that I couldn't adopt the same day. But that was fine. I could wait, what really got me was...the person they had call me a couple of days later should not be calling people to give them bad news!! She was so rude! She told me that she was giving me a "courtesy" call and the cat that I was trying to adopt went "home". I didn't really understand what she was talking about because never once did they tell me that I was in competition with anyone else for the kitten I wanted to adopt. So when I said I didn't understand, her words were...there was another application and we felt that it was a better home......not a better fit, a better home!!! It made me feel like my home wasn't good enough. So needless to say, I hung up and they actually did me a favor, because I found the kitten of my dreams at IACS a couple of days later. I adopted her the same day and the staff were wonderful!! I don't recommend anyone go to Hendricks Co. If you are looking to adopt and looking for a friendly and caring...

We adopted our cat from them last year on the fourth of July. Saw his picture online and immediately knew we had to go meet him. The staff was very kind and helpful, and we were able to adopt him that same day! We absolutely love our boy and are so thankful for the staff helping us get him!
