I get the same drink at every Starbucks establishment. I have to pay extra money for added on sweeteners. At this starbucks and only this one it never tastes sweet enough. This is likely because despite the fact that I request sweeteners, and pat for them, they are obviously not being put into my drink. I can go to another Starbucks that isn't owned by the university and order the same thing and pay the same amount it will taste exponentially better. The employees here do not make drinks properly and do not listen to instruction, thereby wasting my money.
In addition this facility has poor hours. They are open less frequently than mainbrand starbucks stores. This place is literally just an attraction put in to bring people to the DePauw University book store next door.
Everything the university touches in this town is beloved by the masses but I always find the opposite: lackluster, overly expensive, and terrible service. Every. Time.
Someone needs to do this town a favor and open a Starbucks that has appropriate hours of business and quality compared to other stores that aren't stuck under the wing of the poorly managed filthy rich lined pockets of the corrupt university of DePauw. Some of the girls are so super friendly and kind and even put motivational stickers on my drink, know my name by my order etc and I make sure to tip them and bring in gifts at holiday time etc. the person who really ruins my experience is Sabrina. No matter how much I like try on my end to be kind she always has a poor attitude and is super unfriendly. She also gives you your drink with no sleeve and no stopper and then when you ask for them, she once again gets an attitude. Sorry that I don’t wanna burn my hand on hot coffee nor do I want to spill all over my car while I’m driving, but I don’t think it’s too much to ask to get what is included in the drink. When you tell someone to have a good morning and they shut the window in your face. It really puts a damper on your morning and makes you not want to come back even though the others that work there are polar opposite and go above and beyond to give wonderful customer service.
