Colman Florist — Local services in Davenport

This was my first and last time that I'll be ordering from them, unfortunately. I live out of state and wanted to send flowers for my sister's birthday. To say the least, I was at a loss of words of what was actually sent out to her. I've ordered flowers from reputable sites before and have not been disappointed, but I wanted to give a local florist a go.

Let's start with the PROS: •Website was easy to navigate • They had a good array of arrangements • Flowers were delivered on chosen date

And for the CONS: • Wish it had more of a tracking system. Even though I did get an order confirmation, getting a little update to say that my bouquet was "on it's way" would've helped ease the mind. • Even though prices were decent, what is actually being sent out does not reflect the price tag •The BIGGEST con for me was that the flower arrangement that I had ordered, was NOT the flowers that were sent. I ordered the "Purple Passion" in the Deluxe, and it looked no where near of what was shown online. Sure, I understand that some flowers come and go within season, but please notify me if the bouquet needs some sort of rearranging.

I had a huge problem with Colman Florist today. I placed an online order for flowers for my uncle's funeral. We live out of town and I wanted to order local flowers. When I went to the payment section the website stated that my credit card info was incorrect. I re-entered the credit card info. It went through and then I got two emails stating I had place two separate orders. When I contacted Cindy who stated she was the manger she told me she could not do anything about it. It was a separate company that handled the payments. She would not stand by the company she has on her website accepting payment. She was upset when I asked for a phone number for that company. She became very rude and just wanted to tell me how many years she had been in the business. In a few minutes I had emails that she cancelled BOTH of my orders. Unbelievable horrible customer service!!!!!! I recommend sticking with an online flower business and bypass this local company. The best thing that happened today is that I do not have to give her any of my business. I am writing this review so everyone knows the type of customer service you will get from Colman's florist

P.S. on top of all the problems they charged my checking acct twice on 7/15/13 and I did not get a credit to my account until 7/25/13!!!!!!!! What a scam. They used my money for 10 days and all I got was rudeness. Stay clear of...

I order flowers for my daughter. She was going through a breakup with a long term relationship and I thought the flowers would help her feel better. The flowers she received were nothing like what I ordered. When I call Colman Florist to ask about it, I could forget about expressing how disappointed I was with my purchase. The women on the phone had an unpleasant attitude from the start of the call. By their ratings, I would guess that would be from getting calls from unhappy costumers. She immediately had a defensive attitude and was just rude! Telling me she has been in the business for 25years and she put the flowers together herself, saying I got what I paid for. In the end she told me she would pick up the flowers today but would deliver the same bouquet the next day. I responded “Now what sense is there in that”. Her reply was "That’s your choice"! I understand that the online order was transferred from anther online florist but what gets to me is the complete unprofessionalism and disregard for customer service and unwillingness to work with the customer to at least try to make it right. I am extremely disappointed and will go out of my way to avoid ever using Colman Florist again. BTY, I suggest you read the other reviews before ordering from Colman Florist.
