Crystal Springs Skate Center “The Rink” — Local services in Dayton

Very unclean, unsanitary, and shocking that it was open to the public. I remember this place being the place to go in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. It is clear that no money has been invested in these facilities since the 80s.

The toilets were clogged with a lot of human waste #2 and the smell was breathtaking. There was no paper towels to dry my hands after washing them in the nasty sink. There had not been paper towels in some time because spiders had built a web from the empty roll to the wall.

Bugs were crawling on the falling ceilings and nasty carpet on the floors.

The place has a bad mold problem that can be smelled easily upon entry.

The soda from the fountain tasted old and moldy. I couldn’t drink it.

The outside of the building is absolutely littered with rusty old equipment and boats that had not been used in years and was taking up valuable parking places. The outside is such an eye sore and snake haven.

If another outsider were to visit they would probably leave because they would think they were in a horror movie set.

This place has been a part of the community ever since I can remember. It's a great place to go and/or take the kids and have a great time without having to worry about if they are safe. The Skating Rink Is Owned By a great, well known Family that have been here as long as I can remember also and most of us here in the community know them personally. The Employees are great also and there is always adult supervision for the kids by Family oriented folks who care about you and your family also and make sure that when you are here, you are safe and don't have to worry about anything except having a great time. I will definitely recommend Crystal Springs to anyone and everyone and give them a Five Star rating. I would give them more Stars if I could. Great Place And...

Firet and last time I'll ever visit. Arrived 10 minutes before opening time, 7pm, multiple people waiting outside 10-15,even a staff member included. Facility was closed multiple attempts were made from myself, other parents, and staff to contact owner. No response. 20 mintues after he replied he would be opening late to staff member. Continued to wait over an hour for staff member to receive another call that the facility was closed for the night " due to picking up parts for skating rink." Building is in bad shape, main door has no lock literally a big rock was propped against door to keep it closed, and poor communication to where staff are as clueless as...
