I was there at this store on Monday, Dec. 27 buying trash bags and tomato plant cages. I was going to buy a tarp and noticed the price of the cheapest one was $5.99. I decided to pass on it thinking I wouldn't need it. I returned to the store on Dec.30, after the news on TV released info on approaching freezing weather. Much to my disappointment, the exact same inexpensive tarps that were priced at $5,99 just 3 days prior were now priced at $8.99..... that is a $3.00 mark up. Why is McCoys doing this? This is called "price gouging", and I told the checker about it when I went to check out, but of coarse, she didn't have any explanation why the price went up, not that they care or have control over that anyway. I should have taken a photo of the item with the price labels when I went on the 27th, and again on the 30th with the price increased, to prove the price gouging so that I could report them to the BBB or the Attorney General's office, or whoever handles Consumer Protection complaints. But believe me, next time I will do that. I expect to see this kind of thing at small privately-owned convenience stores, but not at a local chain store that services country folks on fixed incomes. This is dishonest, deceptive, and down right shameful! And be aware that I will be taking photos next time! I had previously given them a great review from a visit several months prior, but this "price gouging" brings their great review...

A man in a white shirt walked right by me and instructed another associate to help me. He wasn't happy. I walked up to purchase the keys, and once again I was not acknowledged. As a consumer, I didn't seem to matter. Customer service was...
