Rich's Pawn Shop — Local services in Dayton

Warning, do not go to this place. Go to Mr. pawn shop or go to American coin and jewelry right down the street from riches when it comes to precious metals of any kind. Rich’s Pawn is a total rip off on all of the merchandise. Mr Pawn shop is so much better than Rich’s Pawn shop also. Go to Mr. pawn shop or American coin and jewelry if you have something you want to sell or buy that is gold or silver etc. example: I Bought a men's gold and 1/2 ct diamond ring for over $350 a few months ago from rich's. I brought same ring in today to get a loan (keep in mind I was a regular customer there and bought all my jewelry from them until now) and they offered me $40! I'm a small business owner myself. I know how this stuff works inside and out. I understand businesses have to make money but wow. I think because they’ve been around a little longer than all the other pawnshops they can afford to sit on a lot of the stuff that they have therefore overprice a lot of the stuff that they have unlike the other places I’ve listed. Now they're losing $1000's of dollars from my future business all because of this and they even hang up on you and actually give you an attitude! I was shocked at first. They’ve lost all their customers service skills. Shawn is the only cool one there but that still doesn’t change their pricing/ripping people off. Oh and they have their own employees/owner write reviews...

No sure what all of the horrible reviews are for. But I had a completely different experience. Got in a bad way money wise and had to take my rife in for pawn. The pawn shop I normally use to take guns for pawn stated they didnt take AR style rifles because of controversy or some nonsense (crazy!) So i got on google and found rich's I called them up and asked if they would do a loan on my rifle and they said come on down! I drove down and they made the process very simple. And I had cash money in my hands within a few minutes. Now I always pawn my items for the least amount i need to make it less hurtful to get them out so I cant speak for their loans being competitive as i only asked for 200 on a 1700 rifle. However they were kind made jokes. And made the transaction pleasant. When I went to get my rifle out they were just as nice and easy to deal with. I told them after I gilled out the 4473 that I would likely be delayed (as i always am) and they told me they would call me and let me know if it came back early or that I could come at the end of the period. They called me two days later and let me know it had come back and that I could come pick it up at my convenience. Long story short. Ive dealt with may pawn shops over the years and found these guys to be extremely helpful and kind. Will be taking all my firearms here from now on if i need a...

Yesterday, my husband and I purchased new wedding bands for ourselves. I found a gold band in the design I wanted (5th place I had been to, trying to find one!), and the price was very fair. He chose a steel mens band with a center design. The band’s design peeled off in a strip (it wasn’t sealed into the ring), after only a few hours of wear! After reading all these bad reviews, we expected the worst...but when we took the ring back in today, they were VERY kind and apologetic, and hooked him up with an even nicer ring, at no charge! Wonderful customer service! We will def. shop here again! UPDATE: Just went back in today. Sold my wedding ring, and put it towards a new one. The lady that helped me was super nice, and found me exactly the ring I wanted! The gentleman that helped me was also great, and worked with me on a fair price.
