Western Auto — Local services in Dayton

I spent most of my life living in a small town not far from here called Houston. The clerks in the Houston stores are not nice or mean, they DONT HAVE ANY CLERKS !!! Get what you want and go thru the self checkout.The only employee you will see is a kid with an apron on who does not want to be bothered. I have NEVER been in a store with people working in the store who are so nice and friendly !! I cant believe the high level of help and attention I get when I go there. I never have to wait to get help or check out. The staff is so knowledgeable !! Twice I asked for a part and this guy rattles off the part number right off the top of his head !?!? What kind of man is he ? What parts store employee has all the parts numbers LISTED in his head !?!?! Lets talk prices....I went in to get an Echo Pas 225 Tune Up Kit. The Big Box Store sells it for $21.99 !!! Western Auto's Price $17.99 !! Dont take my word for it, look it up for yourself !!! I always get what I need here usually without having to order it like you have to do a lot these days. I really hate to need something now only to find it takes 5-8 business days to get it. These guys in parts are very knowledgeable about a lot of different things from chain saws to go-carts. For lawn equipment when the big box stores change to winter stock in early July, Western Auto has stock year round. We don't have much of a winter here in Southeast Texas so we really need a store that works like things should, not mindless zombies there for a pay...

I strive on supporting small businesses but this place makes it hard, employees are friendly and helpful but i purchased a zero turn here and have had nothing but bad experiences when it comes to the maintenance and service (long wait times).
