Subject: Urgent Resolution Needed for Ongoing Service Issues at Mission Ford, Dearborn
I am compelled to express my extreme frustration with the consistently unsatisfactory service I have received at Mission Ford on Michigan Avenue. My attempt to address a TMC module issue has become a prolonged and aggravating ordeal, prompting me to submit this formal complaint in the hope of an immediate resolution.
Despite my detailed documentation and clear communication regarding the TMC module problem, the service performed did not align with my explicit instructions. Instead of addressing the transmission module failure, they inexplicably focused on a door lock recall, which was never a concern of mine. This oversight resulted in a hazardous situation, as my car experienced the same transmission module error immediately after the incomplete service.
Subsequent attempts to rectify the situation revealed a lack of attention to detail and mismanagement of the service process. The delay in addressing the TMC module issue, combined with unexpected charges totaling over $4,600, has left me deeply dissatisfied. Moreover, discovering additional issues post-service, including oil leaks and sluggish acceleration, raises serious concerns about the quality of the work performed.
In addition to the previously mentioned concerns, Now that the weather is changing I have observed the presence of oil spots in my driveway following the vehicle's return from work. Furthermore, an unusual odor, reminiscent of grease or oil, becomes perceptible during driving when the heating system is engaged. This odor, while temporary, is disconcerting. Additionally, the vehicle exhibits intermittent jerking, further indicating unresolved issues.
Despite assurances of a swift resolution, the prolonged delays, miscommunications, and the discovery of new issues after each service visit have eroded my confidence in Mission Ford's ability to provide competent and reliable service. At this point, I insist on immediate intervention from a manager to assess and rectify the recurring problems with my vehicle. I urgently request a comprehensive review of the services provided, a thorough examination of the current issues, and a clear plan for addressing these concerns without further delays.
Your prompt attention to this matter is imperative, as my recent experience on the freeway indicates that the transmission problem persists, posing a significant safety risk. I expect a manager from Mission Ford to contact me at the earliest convenience to discuss and resolve these ongoing issues. Your immediate action is crucial to restoring my trust in Mission Ford's service capabilities.

11-24-24 Update: Since it has been cold I not only have oil stains in my driveway and when I park my check engine light is now on as well...which leads me to believe the work that I paid for was not completed.
Still no update from the company as of 12/19/23, I'm going to call tomorrow since they may not be checking their reviews.
Took my car to Midas to have them hike it up so that I could view the underside of the vehicle. Mission Ford never sealed the crankshaft after the major repair I had completed and as a result oul is leaking from an area it should not be...
Read moreI accidentally broke the passenger side mirror glass by hitting the garage gate and went to Mission Ford Dearborn on 07/31/2025 to get it replaced. The service manager said only the glass was damaged and part needed to be ordered. He claimed it wasn’t available and would take about a month to arrive. Then he offered a “faster” option for $297, which I paid upfront to resolve the issue quickly. He promised the part by 08/19, but I received no updates. I called multiple times—no response. Eventually, I contacted Ford, which said the dealer shouldn’t have charged me that way and advised me to request a refund through my bank. After an investigation, my bank refunded the $297. Frustrated, I contacted Ford again and decided to find and install the part myself. Luckily the part became available, I ordered it online and took delivery at Mission Ford's parts department on 09/03/2025 around 4 PM. I went to the parking lot and was able to remove the cables connecting to the mirror glass for cross traffic alert and one of the heating connectors. One of the heating connector was very hard to dismantle and I did not want to pull it off by force as I did not want to damage it. The service department was open that time and I pulled in to ask for their opinion about how to pull that final cable off. The service manager was there, and immediately after I asked my question he started yelling at me "how dare you are coming here and asking for help?", "I will not help you, why did you get your money back from the bank?" and several other personal insults. There was another dealer or service employee was there and she heard all of these arguments. When I asked him if this is the way he treats his customers, he said "I can treat them as I want to because I do not care about Ford and whatever they say us" and several other things that were highly unprofessional and unhelpful. Eventually I was able to pull the cable off myself and ended up replacing the part myself but I really don't know what to do if I have a bigger car issue and the service departments attitudes are like this. I have never felt so insulted in a service shop before, I thought I would be valued as a customer but apparently this place finds it fair to scam people and then to insult them. The one star should only go to the parts department, which works great and has no relation to this review whatsoever. LONG STORY SHORT: PEOPLE DONOT GO TO THIS PLACE AS THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND TRY TO INSULT THEIR CUSTOMERS WHILE THEY ARE...

These guys are exactly who you think of, when you think of a slimy used car dealer.
Dealt with Dave in Used Cars. Extremely rude in phone and email correspondence. Went to the lot to view vehicle, agreed on price, came back 2 days later with certified check, and he backed out on price.
Full story -
Dave initially told me he couldn't make any deals, then told me he could, did make one, turns out he cant. Tried to raise the price by more than 10% after I went came back with Certified funds, first thing on Monday morning.
On top of the old Used Car Dealer switcharoo - I was yelled at and belittled in the parking lot of their dealership.
While waiting for Dave, another sales rep told me to take the car on a test drive. I did. When i returned, Dave was standing at the front door arms crossed yelled at me in the parking lot saying i didn't have permission to drive it, how did i get the car, yadda yadda yadda.
Completely rude and unprofessional, treated me as if I was a 15 year old kid on a joy ride - when his co worker put me on the test drive. Im 40 and had a cashiers check on me to buy the vehicle in my pocket.
Gets better.
Then Dave tells me I have to get the deal approved by the Owner. Im like, isn't that what you did - your the saleman. Nope, and he wouldn't call him over on lot, told me i had to walk there, across a major rd no light - Michigan Ave.
So Dave sent me across the street to meet the Owner "John". Guess what, they dont own the dealer ship across the street - the one he specifically pointed to - they own the own down the street. Just more Dave run around. Waited a few minutes to meet John, clear upon first sentence he was not the owner, hes the GM, and also that he was prepped from Dave on a phone call as I had to cross Michigan Ave sent to the wrong dealer - on what to say.
I was treated this way over a $400 mistake Dave made, that the GM would not stand by his car salesmens word. Apparently you can only get a firm price from the GM there, irregardless of what you are told.
Imagine what would happen if there was an issue with the car after you drive off the lot. Think about that before you buy a car here.
I was lied to, I was treated extremely poorly, and they did not get my business - and...
