Buckle up because this is a long one. I am very disappointed with my experience since I bought my camper in June. We drove 400 miles to pick up this camper. We went through the camper with the service tech and got several, I don’t knows or I’m not sure I didn’t work on this unit. They fixed all the minor issues like light bulbs or loose trim that I was able to find in the initial walkthrough but I admitted that I wasn’t well versed in a Toyhauler so I wasn’t sure what I needed to check. As I was pointing things out I got excuses from the service tech that he didn’t know who was supposed to go through it and then later said the person assigned to it got into a car accident so it must not have gotten finished. I brought up some concerns with a repair on the roof membrane in the back. Service didn’t want to pull the tape off the membrane and said it was good. The GM came to talk to me and said he was confident that the roof wouldn’t leak and if it did I could bring it back in and he would fix it. I told him that I couldn’t just drop in since I lived 400 miles away. He assured me he wouldn’t leave me hanging and would do right by me if there was an issue even so far as to paying someone in my town to fix it if it leaked. I agreed and took it home. Fast forward to a couple weeks later, during my first camping trip, my buddy notices that the side of the camper looked like it was delaminating a bit. I contacted my salesman about it and he said he would contact the service department and get back to me. I didn’t get anything back and had to continue to try and text and call with no or limited response. He eventually said he would contact the GM. When I didn’t hear back again I again texted with another long wait. This lasted over 2 months. Eventually, I received a phone call from the general manager telling me that my salesman no longer worked for the company and neither did the service manager. He asked what my issue was and if I could bring it by. I again explained that I was 400 miles away from there and would not be able to drop it by. I also told him of the tire blow out and the camper awning issues but I was most concerned about the delaminating and the apparent leak from the roof. He then asked me to take some pictures and send it to him. He would contact service and see what their options were. At this point over a month later I still haven’t heard back from them. I climbed up on the roof and found what appeared to be the start of a repair that was not finished. The caulking was obviously pulled away from three screw heads and the trim piece slid down. It looks like someone must have pulled this apart but didn’t finish the repair. I can’t say if it was the service department or the previous owner but I know I didn’t do it. Unfortunately this caused a water leak inside the wall causing the delamination to spread. It leaked down into the light on the wall and storage compartment below it. I understand that this was a used camper but their lack of communication and their service department not completing the repairs contributed to this getting worse and apparently causing the leak to be worse than it was. My regret is that I trusted that they would follow through and make this right. I thought the issue was with the light leaking but didn’t see anything obvious so I didn’t want to make anything worse by pulling it apart until a tech could look at it. Once I got a taller ladder I was able to figure out the likely cause of the leak. I will never go back to I29 RV again. I feel that they know I lived 400 miles away so I was an easy customer to give excuses to and blow off hoping I...
Read moreRecently I sold my house and decided to move into an rv, was in a very vulnerable position Howie (my salesman) knew about it, yet sold me an rv that I've been in for 8 days and have had to have repair after repair done, 1st was an electrical condenser, that with parts nearly 2K, now I've found that I have a leak somewhere in the lines causing my pump to continously run whenever I have the water on, and there was so much lime deposits that i have to replace the nozzle on the bathroom sink faucet and the shower is leaking from the actual faucet to the point there is likely damage behind it, and it to need replacing. Now I do understand thar I bought a used rv, however being REASSURED REPEATEDLY that the staff had gone over everything with a fine tooth comb should mean that in the first 2 weeks I shouldn't have had this amount of repairs. This is not all the things wrong, just the major that I've discovered this far. I would STRONGLY recommend going elsewhere, anyone who would like to reach out to me I would be more than happy to offer you proof of each and every item listed as to save you from the nightmare that I am now stuck with.
I29 RV took full advantage of my need for security, my lack of knowledge in buying an rv and my need to be able to trust again.
I beg of you read the reviews, listen to them, take each of them for truth or you may end in the nightmare in currently living.
And since I've now (after the fact) read the reviews I'll preemptively respond to their standard defenses. 1 No one tried to show me other options 2 No one advised me against this unit 3 Staff knew full well this was going to me my primary residence 4 There is no way your "Service Department " in any good conscience went through this unit thoroughly. 5 Yes I was offered the warranty however I shouldn't have needed one this quickly after my purchase, considering the full going over their "Diligent Service Department " gave the unit
*Update, I've reached out to dealership 2x now via email since they didn't reach out to me, water leaks existing 1st time water put into the system they were discovered, as we had a cold snap and I waited until safe to put water in the tanks and lines, so this if NOTHING else should have been discovered and disclosed since it would not have been known or seen during walk through *There was no after market appliances used in the rv only your basic plug in items including the infared heater the sales person told me to get. We are now into warmer months the 1st time the ac was turned on it howled and blew hot air and the awning motor doesn't work I have also had to have the water pump replaced the keyless lock fell off please search for the videos I'll be putting out on tiktok starting 4/7 I will tag dealership I have receipts and videos this place is absolutely horrible and takes complete advantage of people And let's not forget all the "Help" you provided such at the suggested location, and the transport, set up etc was PAID for by me, ...
Read moreEveryone is amazing @ i29 RV! They are professional, courteous & have the highest integrity and customer service levels in my books. We worked with Darren, Josh, Stephan, Chris, Jay, Our 1989 Winnebago had just made it's final trip. We were in a time crunch with 4th of July family camping just a few weeks away. From the moment we walked into i29 RV we were met with friendly, helpfull and honest people. I do a lot of research and read over reviews before buying just about anything. I make lists and know what I want so that all my family's needs and most important "wants" are met. We found a TT we hadn't seen on the website because it had just been traded in and the staff hadn't had time to make a through walk through. But the moment we walked in, I fell in love with it. So Darren, Chris and Stephan worked with us and our short time line by not only cleaning up the interior but also installed a Sway Bar & braking system complimentary. We never would have known those accessories were important to have. When it was ready to drive off the lot, they took the time to complete a thorough/step by step walk through with us so we somewhat knew what we were doing (LOL!). We were able to drive it off the lot within a couple weeks which made our 4th of July amazing! I had started to make some personalizations to it as we used it 2 - 3 times during the summer before we realized there was a major mold issue in the master bedroom under the laminate flooring, behind the walls under the bed as well as throughout the front outside see through storage compartment. The entire master bedroom and storage compartment had to be gutted, cleaned, and replaced to get rid of the mold. We called them, not expecting much help, but to our surprise, they offered to take it back and sell us a different TT. After about a few months of trying to find one that we liked, we realized were comparing all the others to the one we had purchased & couldn't find one that topped it or even matched it. So we talked to Stephan & asked if there was any possibility they could just repair the mold issue in our unit. They didn't even hesitate with an answer. What's even better..... they also didn't charge us for all the work! I have never worked with a company that was so geared in making things right, being honest and morally grounded. They kept the TT over the entire winter to ensure all the mold was gone. We were able to pick up our TT early this spring and are so excited! Thank you to all the staff & managers at i29 RV! We will recommend and refer everyone we talk to - to go to i29 RV for...
