J Michaels Salon & Spa — Local services in Delhi Township

Okay first of all I was turned away by a salon called La Petite that off that bat wanted to charge me $41 for a simple haircut. They didn’t ask me my length or what type of cut. I showed up 5-10 minutes late there, walked in and they turned me away even after waiting a week to get in. The stylist was sweeping hair and told me I took to long. Went to my car and started crying. I’ve been too afraid because of Covid to get my hair done. Plus I have small children who can’t get vaccinated just yet (I understand they can get it now) but we are waiting a few weeks to see how things go for other kids. I decided to call another salon even though I was ready to go home even though haven’t had my hair touched by a pro in almost two years…

Enter J Micheals. They took with open arms. Charged $10 less and did the best job I’ve ever had on my head ever! I’m so glad I didn’t give up. You can tell the staff all work in unison and care about the overall experience. My stylist in particular was a sweet angel in disguise. I suffer from depression even more so now and she made me like a million bucks. PLEASE check this place out first. It’s girl power all around!

I went to J Michaels for years, seriously, decades, and stopped because I thought they'd closed. So I've been kicking around one cookie cutter hair place after another, bitching and moaning about cuts with no style and then I got old lady hair and it was long and I was desperate. My daughter finally says, why don't you go back to J Michaels? Whoa! Wait! What? I found out they had not closed, my daughter said Maria cuts her hair and I'm thinking, "Maria"?...Maria is still there? Alrighty then, hope springs eternal now! Called, made an appt for Thursday, 10.19 with Maria. I walked in and she hugged me like a long lost sister...lol. I showed her 2 pictures, one that I liked and wanted and one that I liked and that my hair was likely to do considering a natural wave it has. Well, we kicked it around, came up with a plan and what can I say?...she nailed it!! I love the cut and having the ability to fix my hair the way I've seen in my mind, that I want it to look!! All I can say is Thank you, Maria! I will definitely...

Pay attention to their instagram page. That should have been my first sign.Everybody has long straight blonde hair. So If you want long straight blonde hair this is the place to go. It would seem to me that's their main thing lon straight Blonde hair and no skills with anything else. I went in to get a shortcut.I'd never been there before. I was very worried due to past experiences at other salons. Worst cut i've ever gotten in my life. If you want a shortcut and anything other than blonde I wouldn't recommend coming here. She basically just grabbed hunks in my hair and cut.It looks absolutely terrible. No precision whatsoever. So, I wasn't going to even let her finish the cut or get any color done. To top it off, the guy before me was fifteen minutes late for his appointment, but yeah I was getting pushed, because her other appointment had come in.It wasn't me that was late...
